A ottobre Venere entra in Scorpione e va in retrograda,
la prima volta da anni.
Si torna indietro, si rivive quello che è stato, non si molla la presa così in fretta.

Anche il Magick, quest’anno, fa lo stesso.

Per la prima volta nella nostra storia non chiudiamo a fine settembre. Nasce l’Ottobrata Romana: le sere si accorciano, l’aria cambia, ma il Lungotevere Oberdan resta acceso fino al 17 ottobre.

Stessa musica, stessa gente, solo un po’ più tempo prima di salutarci.

Legno, candele, piante che riempiono ogni angolo.
E appena oltre le foglie, l’acqua scorre piano, quasi senza farsi sentire.

Ma sono le pareti a dare un’anima alla stanza. Le figure dipinte, accarezzate dal tremolio delle candele, sembrano prendere vita e muoversi con il loro ritmo. Per un attimo, non sembra più di essere dentro una semplice stanza, ma dentro una storia che continua a raccontarsi da sola.

Neel, all night long.

The last date of his residency at Magick, and he’s closing it out the only way that makes sense: no b2b, no cuts, just him behind the decks for the whole night.

Giuseppe Tillieci (@neelrome ) has spent two decades shaping sound, as one half of Voices From The Lake, as co-founder of Spazio Disponibile, and as LF58, his ambient/experimental project with Filippo Scorcucchi. Add to that a career as a mastering engineer with a reputation for precision, and you get an artist who moves between techno, ambient and field recording without ever settling into one shape.
An all night set means room to move through it all: different rhythms, different textures, all rooted in the same relentless research.
Consolidated, yes. But never finished. The curiosity doesn’t stop.

Pause over. Donato Dozzy is back.

Wednesday 9th, straight off the summer break.. deep, signature, hypnotic textures return to the river.

Matisa steps in with groove-driven, club-rooted energy. And right beside her: Umberto Vitiello, whose sonic nomadism, four decades in the making, collides raw instruments with electronic pulse for a hypnotic, transoceanic ride.

Not just three names on a lineup: Dozzy is the hand behind Vitiello’s own sound, having shaped and mixed his latest record. Tonight, that studio bond hits the stage.
