Wow—what a fantastic night at The Illusion Magic Lounge in Santa Monica with family and friends!

MUDD the Magnificent and Jeff Thompson were both terrific. MUDD has that lovable Beetlejuice energy—spooky, funny, and someone you can’t help rooting for.

His beautiful balloon-and-thread finale is very touching. I don’t get out to see nearly enough shows, but this is one I highly recommend. Great magic, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of heart. 🎩🎃✨ taken in Illusion Magic Lounge by @magicmudd

Final night. Tonight. Torn, Tattered & Restored at Illusion Magic Lounge in Santa Monica, and the sign says it all. Great magic, no membership required. Just a pulse. Actually, not even that, I don’t have one either 💀

Back in 1932, during Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field, Babe Ruth faced Cubs pitcher Charlie Root while players and fans heckled him without mercy. With two strikes against him, Ruth raised his arm and seemed to point toward center field, then crushed the next pitch for a towering home run to almost exactly that spot. Nobody has ever proven whether he truly called his shot, and that mystery is a big part of why the legend has lasted.

Well, there’s no mystery here. I’m calling mine. Tonight and tomorrow night at Illusion Magic Lounge in Santa Monica, Torn, Tattered & Restored will be the best shows of my career. I’ll make you scream, I’ll make you laugh, and if I do it right, I’ll leave you with a little piece of what’s left of my heart. 🖤

Point at the stands with me 💀

Honored to be featured in the October 2026 Academy of Magical Arts newsletter! “My Name Is Mudd” tells the shocking true story behind the magnificence, as confessed by Jimmy H, from a monster-loving kid who discovered magic at 12, to a scare actor yelling “Boo!” in the dark, to the moment a monster magician was born.

Catch Mudd live in “Torn, Tattered & Restored” tomorrow and Saturday, October 9 and 10 at 7 PM, at Illusion Magic Lounge in Santa Monica. AMA members get 25% off with code MUDDHAPPENS.

Huge thanks to the Academy for the feature! 💀
