My Dads anniversary today..
01/04/1923 ==27/07/2007. He was born in Sliema,Malta. Served his country and the British Empire during WWII in Malta on the anti aircraft guns helping fight off the attacking German and Italian aircraft during the dire days of Malta being bombed.Came to Australia 1948 as a Plumber and Gasfitter. First worked in Canberra building houses ,then Sydney in a Plumbing firm then a career in the Australian Gas Light Company as the City fitter where he became very well known ..He was a founding member of the Maltese ExServicemens Association in Sydney as a member , Treasurer and finally as President of the RSL sub Branch..The Maltese finnial for the Maltese banner was proudly made by him which is still carried with pride on the ANZAC day marches ..He was a hard working man putting food on the table for his 7 sons .In the group photo my dad is sitting left front in the famous photo of his group capturing hitler. by @magro_andrew

This bear is a antique bear made from rabbit fur .. its sitting on my front lounge taking it all in . Thank god it doesn't speak to tittle tat on me doing air guitar , dancing jigs and trying to bloodywell sing to the music on the radio !!.. Hopefully one of my daughters will take it when I cark it ..!!! by @magro_andrew

To all that replied to my birthday story ,thank u very much . I had a crappy day thinking of my mum yesterday and to top it off had to go to a crappy job ...both customer and job . Today I had my mate and his wife ring me this morning wishing me happy birthday. When I told him ( Spud Murphy) he's a day late he said ,no ,no ,no Im in Malta and its the 19th here.. To top it off they went to a festival celebrating StJoseph , my middle name and one of my brothers name ...fireworks ,feasting the lot .. How good is that. But wait there's more ..One of my friends who I used to do traffic control with sent me a clip of us working nite time in Liverpool .. I peed myself with laughter and fell off the chair .. I remember it well . I can tell the story but don't know how to share the clip .. Im still in tears. Anyways I've poured myself a Jack with a blood orange mixer and toast u all.. ( I am also reading this book Gallipoli) more tears ...Once again thank u all .xxxxx by @magro_andrew

I made this copper rose as a heirloom piece for my granddaughter Sienna who turned 1 last Wednesday. The vase is from home and I bought the marbles. In amongst the marbles I have put some coins, pins ,rosary beads ,etc ..This will last forever and a day and hopefully Sienna can pass it to her daughter and her daughter .. by @magro_andrew
