I'm so excited to share I'm now teaching Mahjong. I've been blessed to have learnt this incredible game at my home away from home—the Willingdon—from the very best of teachers. Their joy and passion for the game has fueled my own. Look forward to meeting y'all at the tables and sharing in this joy.

Happy Birthday to the best Boss, I’ve ever had!

Even though we may not speak the same language, no matter how stressful or cray work gets—you always know exactly what to do to make things right.

You’ve had such a tough year++ health wise, but have overcome every challenge with moxie and determination.
You are such an inspiration and joy nugget—thank you for choosing us, darling Gigi. 💙✨

Best birthday gift to myself…🥹❤️🀄️

🏆 Taiwanese … won as a Table Winner
🥈 Riichi … won the 2nd Spot

Two tournaments. Back-to-back wins…On my birthday!🥰🥰 (22nd October)

But what made this day truly special was celebrating it with my two mentors …
Archana, who taught me Taiwanese &
Danish, who taught me Riichi.♥️♥️♥️🀄️

And a special mention to Tanika, a dear friend & the wonderful organiser behind both these events, who made this birthday Mahjong marathon even more memorable! ❤️🀄️

To win in both the games I learned from my mentors, on my birthday, with all these wonderful people around me… my heart is full! 🥺🥺🥺🥰♥️🀄️ by @mahjongwhimsy

In the last couple of weeks, I received the best questions about MahjongGita Hands and how to play them! Inspired by this amazing curiosity—we’ve created this series on them. 💙✨

In this video we touch upon the general overview of how these Hands are played.

🀄️✨Some important points to note:

- These Hands are typically played in the South Round
- The Player who is East decides what game the Table should play and everyone plays that Hand
- The Flowers of the Round are 2. A Pair of the Round Flower or Pair of your Own Flower, if you are South garners you 500 Points. So if you happen to be South and get lucky to get both — that’s 1000 Points!
- Scoring is a flat, 2000 Points from East, 1000 Points from everyone else. Unless you’ve made a Concealed Hand, in which case you’re reward doubles—4000/2000.
- Lastly, you can “Shop” in this Round. Traditionally, Shopping only occurs in the South Round. You can only buy the Discards of the Player on your Left. This costs 100 Points.
