And that's a wrap. So grateful for this humbling and exciting journey...one of the most gratifying creative experiences of my career. Thank you to the Board of the Morgan-Wixson for trusting me with the big summer show. Thank you to my AMAZING cast and crew for an unforgettable experience of laughs and joy. Thanks to everyone who stepped up, stepped in and helped make this show a success. I will measure this memory always. taken in Morgan-Wixson Theater by @mahkel62

So humbled and grateful for our first review: "The production is helmed by director/scenic designer Michael Heimos, who offered his impressions of the musical: “One of the show’s most powerful messages is that everyone deserves love and acceptance exactly as they are…life is short. Be proud of who you are, and share your authentic self with the world", "Helmed with an eye to fantasy and humor, Heimos nonetheless manages to sandwich in some very potent messages. This is an entertaining piece which is sure to appeal to kids – but also to adult audiences." and "Bravo to the Morgan-Wixson for having the courage to tackle a show as complex as SHREK THE MUSICAL, one of the best musical productions which they have produced, a not-to-be-missed show." Get 50% this Friday only by using the code: WWTD. photo by: @joeldcastrophotography taken in Morgan-Wixson Theater by @mahkel62

After the opening of Shrek at the Morgan-Wixson, my friend JP drove me down to surprise André at his closing performance of RENT at the Diversionary Theatre in San Diego. Such a moving and really wonderful production of this beloved show. CONGRATS Boo on getting your dream role and making it so special. You really shined on that stage. taken in San Diego, California by @mahkel62

I saw rent on Broadway with the original cast in 1996 and have never been able to enjoy another production of Rent. Nothing has come close to the original Broadway production. But tonight I saw an extraordinary production with my husband playing Tom Collins, and I was blown away. This was a version you’ve never seen before. Interactive, intimate, elevated, inspiring, touching, tearful, joyous and….extraordinary. I am SO PROUD of you @andreheimos ! Your version of “I’ll Cover You” was heart-wrenching and powerful. Congrats on your best performance to date. I loved this show. #likeneverbefore #rentthemusical #diversionarytheatre #kudos #illcoveryou taken in Diversionary Theatre by @mahkel62

Thanks to the Argonaut for putting the Morgan-Wixson's production of "9to5" on the cover of this week's paper!! Such a great show helmed by my good friends: Amy Coles, Holly Weber, Daniel Koh, Cori Goldberg, Spencer Johnson, and Kristie Mattsson. The cast is so good, the show is so funny, and the production is stellar. (plays through June7th) taken in Morgan-Wixson Theater by @mahkel62
