What we thought was gonna be routine blood pressure check turned into an emergency c-section. I felt completely out of control and overwhelmed but I quite literally kept a smile on my face to keep from breaking down. Everything happened so fast but per usual our village stepped in to fill in the gaps.

Thank God Khaydence La’Rae was delivered safely on September 13, 2024 to two parents who couldn’t be happier to bring their rainbow baby into the world.. 🌈☀️👩🏽‍🍼❤️🙌🏽

There’s so much more I could say but, being so overwhelmed with love and gratitude, the best way I can sum it all up right now is by saying #GODISTHEGREATEST 🥹🥲🥰

This blessing is a result of my grandmothers prayers and my husband’s faith. When we lost our first baby last year it was traumatic for me, physically and mentally. I wasn’t sure how to feel since I’d never experienced anything like that before so I just kinda went numb and went on with life. And around that time life was still most certainly LIFE-ING. With all that happened I honestly didn’t want to get excited about being pregnant again anytime soon.

But when my niece was born in January I was home visiting her, and my grandmother randomly came up to me after her prayer call with tears in her eyes and said “keep going, your time is coming”. (1. My grandmother is NOT much of a crier. 2. Little did either of us know I was already pregnant lol) I came back to Dallas to my husband and he called one day from work saying “Babe, you’re pregnant”. He had faith enough for the both of us cuz I was like 👀 lol But He knew it and kept saying it without a doubt. A few days later we took a test (actually several) and it came back positive. I still didn’t want get excited. But I figured I owed it to my husband, the baby and God to walk in faith.

Even this post is an act of faith for me. I kept wanting to wait until I got to a “safe” place in the pregnancy to make it known just in case something happened. And honestly for me a “safe” place probably wouldn’t be until I gave birth and knew he/she was completely ok. But I realize that’s not how God works. He wants us to believe it BEFORE we see it. It wouldn’t be Faith if we knew everything we went thru was always gonna have a positive outcome.

Our baby deserves a mom who isn’t ruled by fear and anxiety [anymore]. I want her (I’m speaking a girl into existence lol) to be more confident, bold, and fearless than I ever could be. Hope this helps and encourages anyone who’s been thru or going thru a similar situation to walk by faith and not by fear. This might be the highlight of my year so far. Trish and Brandon’s love is like a fairytale. I’ve known Trish for years and to see her find true love is so heartwarming. The love and care that Brandon showed during this session is a testament to the stand up guy he is! I am so honored to capture their love story down the aisle.

Funny how life shifts. ❤️ There was a time when I was the one always on the road. These days, my role allows me to hold things down from home more while my husband @b.amie1984 is the one collecting all the frequent flyer miles. 😂✈️

But every now and then, our worlds collide and we get to lock in side by side.

Different roles. Different responsibilities. Same mission — making sure our boss is covered and the vision gets executed. 🎬

Getting to do life together is a blessing. Getting to do purpose together? That hits different. ❤️🥹🥰
