Slow living || Reading in bed || Romanticising everyday life

I was thinking today about how strange it is to read in a language that wasn’t the one i grew up speaking. i wonder if the words feel different to everyone else, or if i’m just taking the longer way around to understand them...

Having a little corner of the world that belongs only to me…

Writing few things, even if it’s just a few scattered thoughts from the day, and getting distracted by pretty sunset..

i think i’m such a homebody. even when i’m out, a little part of me is thinking about being home, my dim little lights, my familiar corners, just pottering about doing nothing in particular. i don’t know, there’s something about being in my own little world that feels so comforting. but i’ve been trying to go out more, see things, let myself be somewhere unfamiliar for a change. it’s a work in progress, i suppose. i do quite like coming home with little stories to tell myself, though...

i love that little bit of time when the sky turns blue and the candles are the first lights i put on.… by @mahzuba.alam

October has a way of making everyone feel nostalgic for things that haven’t even happened yet.🍄‍🟫🍂

#visualdiary #slowliving #autumn by @mahzuba.alam

An autumn plan, if you ask me: a long walk, leaves underfoot, coffee somewhere warm, a little writing, few pages of a book, and a bench to sit on before heading home.

i don’t think a day needs much more than that.

The Bedside diaries a small study of what a photograph holds beyond what we see.

A question! What does a photograph contain that isn’t necessarily visible in the photograph itself?

I think..the most interesting thing a photograph can contain is a life that was never the subject of the photograph in the first place.

Time,habit,history.intention…absence, repetition.
everything that exists around it, before it, and long after it.

Traces..

Thing’s that keep returning…

Remembering this day and the girl I was in it….

crisp air, sweaters worn on repeat, endless cups of coffee, perfume on warm skin, apples! candles lit before dusk, the house falling into shadow, that last bit of sunlight on the furniture, the smell of home, early sunsets, dark corners, golden windows, and all the little things….🍏🍂
