Had a lovely time performing at Belladrum Festival on The Free Range Acoustic Stage, at the weekend.

Thanks to Helen and Bob for inviting me to play and to their son Steve who played bass on a few songs.

My new song ‘Starting Over Again’ is out now so you can listen on all streaming platforms.

My second EP ‘Little Triumphs’ is out on August 14th.

Pre order CD or Vinyl now via link in bio.

Thanks to everyone who came down to MacGregors Bar in Inverness on Friday night, for the ‘official’ launch of my second EP ‘Little Triumphs’.

It was a lovely night.

I even read some of my teenage angst poetry. That was a first.

I was joined by Ele who sang harmonies and played the Shruti box and Steve on bass and vocals.

About 15 years ago I wrote a song called ‘Home’.

It was about missing the wildness, the space and the landscapes of Scotland where I grew up.

15 years later I am here, I came back.

‘Starting Over’ looks like this.

I will be singing both songs at my second EP Launch next Friday Oct 23rd.

Come along, it’s free but you need to pre-book.

The Vault Room, MacGregors bar, Inverness, 7.30 - 9pm.

I’m excited…
To be performing this Saturday at ‘Contin Live!’
I will be playing some songs from my new EP ‘Little Triumphs’ which will be available to buy on Vinyl and CD. by @maiaedenmusic

I am loving Phoebe Bridgers new Album ‘Lost Weekend’ which coincidentally came out on the same day as my new EP ‘Little Triumphs’ on August 14th.

I was interviewed for the Podcast ‘Creagivity’ recently and Harlan, one of the hosts, described my songs as…

“Melancholic songs with hope”

I like that, thanks Harlan.

You can buy my new EP on CD or Vinyl via my website or of course, listen on all streaming platforms.

See you soon,

Maia

Out at midnight tonight.
My second EP ‘ Little Triumphs’.

It’s taken a while…

4 melancholic yet hopeful songs and 1 about a dog.

Thanks to ‘Seabass Vinyl’ and ‘Birnam CD’ for making it a real object.

And big thanks Barry at Rose Croft studio for his patience and creativity and Steve for playing bass.

It has taken a while, but I guess there’s a name for that - a ‘slow creator’.

I wanted to create something different to my first EP and I am happy to say I have achieved that, and it took time.

A big thank you goes to Barry Reid at Rose Croft Recording studio in Muir of Ord. He helped me shape it and introduced me to different sounds and ways of working, so it is thanks to him that it sounds like it does.

Thanks to Marc Marnie for the lovely photo and thank you to Steve Bull who played bass on it.

I will write more about the songs and even ‘release a single’, as soon as I work out how to do that.

Warm wishes,

Maia x
