Art classes in my studio.
My workshops are playful, experimental and educational.

Absolutely no experience necessary.

You will learn some simple new techniques that will open doors to making a whole of of art that you can give as pressies and hang on your wall.

I like to demystify and break down barriers to creativity and, AND, I show you how you can do it at home on a tight budget.

ps. I grew that Dahlia. It’s my third attempt and I couldn’t be happier 🌸 by @maiaedenarts

Hello,

Since I am going to be running some art workshops in the Autumn, I thought it was time to introduce myself again.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and studied in Brighton 20 years ago where I gained a BA Hons in WMCP, Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics. It was a brilliant course and I learnt how to make work using all kinds of tools and machinery.

I went into Prop making where I made props for shops and shows, before moving into the world of Community Arts, teaching and private commissions.

I have made all kinds of things from gold-plated rings to a 30ft birds nest on a roof.

These days I have been getting into collage and am happy to say that I will be running an introductory day course sharing some exercises and ideas for making lots of collages.

I will also be teaching an introduction to Lino Printing with Chine collé.

I have a relaxed, informal approach and no experience is necessary. The classes will be in my studio, in the Highlands, where I now live.

If you would like to find out more please click on the link in my bio or message me.

Recent visit to the east coast of Scotland to see my little sister and friends.

The book shed made in memory of my big sister, is still looking great.

I think I wanna dress like Beatrix Potter.

Big thank you to the brilliant Barry Reid who I worked with on this, at Rose Croft Studio in the highlands.

Also thanks to Steve Bull who played bass.

Helloo,

No heatwave in the highlands (would that work on a tee?)

This weekend there was a huge thunderstorm, fierce winds and lots of rain and these flowers survived and are thriving in our garden. The foxgloves are the wild variety and are stunning.

Other news - I have finally merged my two arty websites to one.

Streamlined and simpler.

Oh and my second EP will be available soon. Did I mention I make music too?

Head to my music insta @maiaedenmusic account and see what’s happening.

It can be pre ordered on CD and Vinyl too.

See you soon,
