Thank you so much for joining me on my art journey. I feel so blessed and humbled by the love and support I’ve received these past few weeks. It makes me so happy to know my art is reaching a wider audience and that my art is speaking to you!

For those of you who are new here, I’d like to introduce myself to you and reintroduce myself to you if you’ve been following me for quite some time now (thank you so much).

💐 I am a first generation born Hmong American. I am married to the man who still calls me his dream girl, and I am the mom to two beautiful girls.

🌺 I draw because I love creating pictures. Sometimes I draw from photos and sometimes I draw from my imagination.

🍂 There are seasons in life and I will embrace each season that I’m in for they exist to teach us. These days I am a SAHM. I spend my time reading, teaching my kids, drawing, working part-time remotely, and singing when I can.

🎶 I’ll take this opportunity to share with you my other passion. My husband and I write and record songs together during our free time (free time, haha! What’s that?) follow us here at @maimee_may

🙏🏽 I have so many dreams and plans to grow my art, but I also have two little ones to grow and nurture. I will do what I can and aspire to do more.

Sun Fummer Day.
When my kids were much younger, to beat the Georgia heat, we’d go outside and turn the sprinkler on and run around splashing each other. My oldest mistakenly called the day, “Sun Fummer Day” instead of “Fun Summer Day.” And it stuck! Years later and we still have a Sun Fummer Day once or twice a summer.#summer #fun #family by @maimee_may_illustrations

Trying to reach deep down to come up with a profound caption, but I can’t. I just find it very relaxing to draw eyes, and I needed to relax. by @maimee_may_illustrations

My drawing is inspired by The False Mirror by Rene Magritte.

Lately, our homeschooling art series has been a highlight, and I thought joining the kids in their lessons would be a fun way to encourage them.

The world is crazy right now. Hug the people you love, pray often, and make art.
