More than just a cafe 🥐✨

@vjosachicago is a community gathering space for sweet moments. I had the best time at their creator tasting featuring @ohdeerbakery’s delicious cronuts!

@ohdeerbakery brought their signature Crobliha (croissant donut hybrid) to Chicago for the very first time, and Vjosa is the only spot in the city where you can try them for a limited time!

The difference a cut makes!

Make sure you are dusting your ends every other week and trimming your curly hair every 2-3 months (if needed) otherwise you might have to do a big chop on your natural hair journey like me.

Completely changed my natural hair routine. I’ve been conditioning before shampooing for years and I’ll never go back!

You know that feeling when your hair feels like straw after washing? Or when detangling takes forever and you’re seeing so much hair on your sink or near the drain? I was there too.

I tried co washing but then I was getting a lot of product build up so I decided to try this.

It creates this protective layer so when you shampoo, it’s not stripping everything away. Your hair stays moisturized throughout the whole process instead of getting completely dried out.

Now my hair actually feels soft after washing. Detangling doesn’t make me frustrated anymore.

If your wash days are a struggle, maybe try this next time. It sounds weird but it really prevents hair breakage.

Propaganda I’m not falling for? Being a straight hair natural 🚫

Straight hair might look easier, but here’s what really happens when you’re constantly heat styling:
❌ Less deep conditioning = drier hair
❌ Heat damage breaks down keratin proteins
❌ More breakage from over-manipulation
❌ Moisture barrier gets compromised

I had JUST grown my natural hair back from breakage, only to experience it all over again after deciding to be a straight natural! The only thing that prevented even MORE damage was keeping up with regular trims and cuts 😩
