FIDELIO is for sale . . . and it's time to find her next steward.

She is a 1956 Sparkman & Stephens yawl, design no. 1188, and a sistership of Carleton Mitchell's legendary FINISTERRE, the centerboard yawl that won three consecutive Newport–Bermuda Races. Fidelio was built to the same Olin Stephens lines by Matthiessen & Paulsen in Germany. She is double-planked mahogany over bronze framing.

A classic racer-cruiser, FIDELIO, has been campaigned with great success on the classic yacht circuit from Maine to Fishers Island. She appeared on the cover of WoodenBoat (No. 218), and her story is told in Episode 5 of the "Conversations with Classic Boats" podcast.
