Hi everyone! Thanks for being here 🫶 here’s an introduction… my name is Kirsty! I have two amazing children Ivy (5) and Jude (3) and a wonderful Husband @dom.kohler 💖 As a family, we love to travel and Disney is our biggest passion! After many years of loving, planning and going on Disney trips, I’ve decided to set up this page to talk Disney and hopefully help other families plan the most magical trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris!

A little bit about me! I’ve been going to Walt Disney World with my husband Dom since 2014. We got engaged there then honeymooned there too! We now have the absolute pleasure of taking our two little ones to The Most Magical Place on Earth and it’s been a dream come true 🥰🫶 We’ve learnt a lot along the way as traveling from the UK to Orlando with two little ones has certainly been very different to traveling as a couple!

Whilst in WDW in 2023 we became DVC members and I have found it really difficult to find UK based DVC accounts so I hope to help with that too! We have our ‘welcome home’ trip to WDW booked for October and we are heading to Disneyland Paris in April which we just can’t wait for! So if you’re UK based and love Disney, let’s be friends! The best night at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 🎃👻🧡

We had so much fun and it definitely didn’t feel as strange as I thought it would doing Halloween in August 🤪 The wait times were super low, Boo To You Parade is still the best Disney Parade of all time, we made it all the way to Midnight powered by Trick or Treat candy & we won ‘Best Costume’ pins for the second year on the bounce 😂 Love this event, if you’re coming out here whilst it’s on, I would not skip! by @mainstreetescapes

We had the loveliest morning at the Welcome Home Weeks DVC Member event 😍❤️🫶

I never thought I’d do the Casper Slide with Mickey dressed as a Cowboy but here we are 😂🫶 The kids absolutely loved it and it was completely free for DVC members on selected dates this summer!

A brilliant day in Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure🫶

We completed our first universal visit with a trip to both Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. We started off in IoA and with the Express passes we had through our 1 night stay at Hard Rock Hotel, we were able to ride everything the children were tall enough for.

Around 1pm we headed over to the Studios park and again rode everything we were able to with very short waits thanks to the Express passes. I don’t think we’d have achieved half of what we did without the Express pass and if we were to visit the Universal parks again we would definitely book a short stay at a signature resort in order to get the Express/Early Entry perks.

Our highlights were riding the Hogwards Express between Diagon Alley & Hogsmede, Escape from Gringotts, Spiderman, Transformers & the water play splash pad in the Dreamworks area for the kids.

We had a fab first visit to Universal and would like to return with a longer ticket so we feel less rushed. Now its back to the Disney bubble for another week 🎉 by @mainstreetescapes

A truly ‘Epic’ first Universal day as a family ✨

It was 12 years ago the last time we went to a Universal park and we’ve been waiting for the kids to be tall enough to experience as much as possible. I’m so glad it was worth the wait! What an incredible theme park 😍

We rode all our priorities, watched both shows, had some yummy treats and spent lots of time doing wand magic (the kids loved this!)

My favourite thing was just looking around each land and being amazed at how immersive and well themed they are. We were also surprised at how much we got done without the Express pass. Our longest wait of the day was 1 hour for Battle Of The Ministry and I’d wait that again just to stand in the most amazing queue of all time!

Disney Diaries Day 1 🦒🧡🌳

We are back at our favourite resort and spent our first day enjoying all the best bits of Animal Kingdom Lodge!

We had breakfast at Sanaa (can’t believe this is quick service, it was AMAZING!) went to the pool, collected 5/7 of the String of Memories beads (highly recommend doing this if you stay here- so fun and educational), played in the Community Hall, watched the beautiful animals from our balcony, shopped, made sand art, had dinner at Boma and finished the night with Marshmallow toasting!

As we don’t have full park tickets this trip, I was wondering how it would feel not doing the parks on Day 1 and I can happily confirm it was perfect! Lovely and chilled and let us get over the jet lag that the 3.30am start brought us. Might start every trip like this from now on 🙌🏻

We’ve got another full day here before our plans start to get a little busier and I’m going to enjoy soaking in this beautiful place we are so lucky to call our Home resort 🧡 by @mainstreetescapes

1 More Sleep ✨

Got that feeling like I might burst with excitement feel! Packing well underway, lots of last errands and jobs to do today before an early night ahead of tomorrow’s flight.

We’ve got 4 hotels in 11 nights, a Universal trip, MNSSHP, Moonlight Magic, a day trip to NASA, our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary to celebrate and a whole load of new memories to make 🙌🏻✨ So ready for some much needed family time! @dom.kohler by @mainstreetescapes
