@erika_kibar has been following her instincts for years. Before Clifton, there was Munich, Ibiza, festivals, music and art brought back from around the world.

She sees beauty where others might walk past it, and trusts her imagination.

She has that rare kind of charisma that draws people to her. A genuine curiosity about others, and a generosity that extends naturally to the spaces she creates.

House of Karuna feels inseparable from her - bold, warm, open-hearted and entirely original. A home created to be shared with family, friends and those who pass through it.

For those who would like to experience it, the private Master Suite, with its own kitchenette, dining area and patio, and the Penthouse are available for stays.

✨ One-minute MAISON Stories - a home through the eyes of its creator.

As Erika says:
“It’s not just our house. It’s a living place.”

One week. Two offers. And a record price per m² for Beach Road, Sea Point.

Our seller chose the certainty of an unconditional cash offer, a fantastic result for a home we loved representing.

Thank you to our seller for trusting us with it.

And to its new owner, enjoy that extraordinary view. We certainly would. by @maison.exp

MAISON Stories explained.

Not us in front of the camera - the houses.
Not just homes - the people who imagined them.

Along the way, something else happens: real connections.

The people, the films, the houses, the real estate, all one thread.

If yours has a story worth telling, or selling, reach out.

@kirsten___goss has that rare ability to make even the unexpected feel elegant and effortless.

With her husband Clive, she saw the potential in an overgrown 80s house and trusted their vision.

What followed was entirely their own and completely free of rules.

Her home has the same generosity she does. Every room invites you in.

Even the wallpaper is a portrait of the people and animals she loves.

Like Kirsten herself, the house is impossible to put in a box.

Which room stole your heart?

#available There are very few places in Cape Town where the ocean feels this close.

Set directly on the dunes in Klein Slangkop Estate, this four-bedroom wooden beach house sits between sea, sand and sky, overlooking Noordhoek Beach, Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak.

Daleen Stewart @deecompose travels to France in search of pieces with a past, objects that have lived, moved through hands, gathered stories.

Back in Cape Town, at her shop @thefrenchdispatchcompany , she gives them a new life.

She has built a home the way she builds everything. With instinct, with wit, and with that particular generosity that makes you never want to leave.

Walls came down. Light came in.
A kitchen where no one ever wants to leave.
A lounge that belongs to winter as much as summer.

“In the end, it just feels like us.”

That je ne sais quoi you can’t quite name? It’s everywhere.

R15 750,000

Ocean View Drive, Sea Point.
A quiet position above it all, terrace open wide, the Atlantic in front and the mountain just behind.

This one was a little different.
Our buyers were based in Monaco. The entire process handled remotely, with us here in Cape Town throughout.

What comes next for this address will be interesting to watch.

A pleasure to collaborate with @livingwithtaurin and @richrealty.hawes at @sothebysrealtyct on this one.

#available This house is part of my childhood.
And part of a friendship.

Fabienne Amzalak has a rare way of creating places people return to, not just for what they are, but for how they feel.

Her work sits at the intersection of instinct, design, and precision. Each space is carefully constructed, yet never overthought.

In Paris, she has shaped a series of restaurants that have quietly become references, conceived in close collaboration with Philippe Starck.

She doesn’t follow trends. She sets a tone.

Dakar.
Available to rent for holidays.
