A private office for the principal.
We don’t work for the house. We work for you.

Opening night, in the playroom.

Cast of two. One mother in the front row.

The stage, the stars, the velvet, the cake at four, the car at six. A whole production, without a producer in the room.

She saw a play. We ran a theatre.

Maison Madison. Uncommonly attentive.

Hide and seek is her job.

Finding the piano teacher is ours.

The lessons, the tutors, the Tuesday pickup, the dentist in December. Booked, confirmed, moved the day the school changed its mind.

She gets the afternoon. We get the calendar.

Running a home is a full-time job. Fortunately, not yours.

Spotted: evidence of a very good night.

By morning, there was none.

And nobody asked you a thing about it.

Maison Madison. Uncommonly attentive.

Pain au chocolat from the place you like. Not the place that’s closer.

We know the difference because we wrote it down the first week.

That’s the whole difference. Multiplied by everything.

Under your control. Without your control.

Breakfast in bed is a logistics operation.

The strawberries from the market, not the deli. The tea nobody else stocks. The tray that went up before anyone asked.

Before anyone asked is the whole job.

Maison Madison. Uncommonly attentive.

He thinks the coffee just appears.

Same cup. Same pour. Same time. Same side of the bed. Nobody’s asked him how he takes it since 2023.

Let him think that. We’ll keep doing it.

A Tuesday. Nothing happening.

Which took four people, two phone calls and one very good florist.

Every Blair has a Dorota. Ours never appears on camera.

You wouldn’t know we run the house. That’s the point.

Out of office. Out of focus. Entirely out of the loop.

The loop didn’t notice you’d left.

It wouldn’t notice if we had, either. That’s how we built it.

You wouldn’t know we run the house. That’s the point.

You’re in Positano. The house is in New York.

Only one of you is thinking about the boiler.

It isn’t you. It isn’t even a person. It’s a calendar we’ve kept since the day you moved in.

Maison Madison. Uncommonly attentive.

Wheels up at nine. The house knew at eight.
You’re on the coast. The boiler isn’t.
Twelve for drinks on Thursday — you said yes, and that was the whole of your involvement.
This is what a private office for the principal looks like. We don’t work for the house. We work for you. We learn the way you live, then make it effortless to live that way — from an office you’d never know was running things.
Luxury isn’t the view, the glass, or the croquembouche. It’s the feeling that someone is on it.
Uncommonly attentive.

Back from Palm Beach at four.

The building knew. The car knew. The closet knew.

You told no one. We did.

Under your control. Without your control.

The right fork. For the right course. For the one guest who would notice.

Your housekeeper is excellent. This was never her job.

It’s ours.
