Every image begins with an idea. Ours was simple: let the coat represent structure, and let the light represent movement. By reflecting light through sheets of foil, we created ripples that almost resemble water, allowing something fluid to coexist with something deeply architectural. The older I get, the more I realize that Maison Mohe was never just a brand. It became a mirror. For years, I thought I was the one shaping it, but looking back now, I can see that while I was creating Maison Mohe, Maison Mohe was creating me. Every collection carries traces of who I was at that moment in time. When I look through old photographs, I don’t just see garments; I see memories, heartbreaks, dreams, lessons, and versions of myself that were doing their best to become who they were meant to be. What has surprised me most is how often my relationship with the brand reflects my relationship with myself. What begins as a sincere desire to create something beautiful can quietly transform into a desire for perfection, and somewhere along that transition creativity stops feeling like a conversation and starts feeling like a test. Over the years, I have learned that the moments when I feel disconnected from my work are rarely about the work itself. More often than not, they are moments when I have forgotten that creation was never meant to be a performance of worthiness but an act of trust. The irony is that whenever I loosen my grip, stop trying to control every outcome, and return to the curiosity and wonder that inspired me in the first place, everything begins to flow again. Perhaps that has been the greatest lesson of this journey. Not how to build a brand, but how to build a relationship with myself that is rooted in trust rather than judgment.
