today, my heart shattered as I said goodbye to my sweet Marley.

six years ago, this beautiful doggie came into our lives and made us the happiest family 🥹 I still remember the day she chose us, she bit my dad’s shoelaces and was so playful haha and just like that, I was completely in love. and from that moment on, she became my best friend

Marley sat with me through long online lectures during the pandemic, kept me company when no one else could, and always knew how to make me smile. She was a diva, no doubt about that haha but also the most loyal, playful & loving soul I could’ve ever asked for. Her sass, her little head tilts, the way she’d insist I drop everything to give her attention… she was full of personality :’) she loved being with me, and honestly, I loved being with her more than anything

Thank you, Marley, for every single greeting at the door, for every kiss on my hand and face, for placing your head under my hand so I’d pet you, for all the adorable paw shakes and the way you waited for me to come home 🥰 Thank you for loving me so deeply, so consistently. Every time you looked at me with those beautiful puppy eyes like I was your whole world… because you were mine too 🩷

even yesterday, you were still stealing bites of carne asada from Dad and today, you’re gone…I still can’t fully process it.

but even in your final moments, you were so strong. You didn’t whine or complain once, even when I know you had to be hurting my baby, that was so you, brave, loyal, and loving until the very end.

the six years we shared were exactly what God meant them to be. And though it doesn’t feel like enough time, every moment with you was an absolute gift. You’ll forever be a part of me, the tattoo will now be a little piece of you I’ll carry with me always.
