•Tea with bubbles?!• It’s not every day you get the chance to work on a script with as much potential as this one. A story about a curious, open-minded young man traveling the world. Discovering and trying everything new. All while his grandma tries to school him on how life should be lived. At first glance, the film feels exotic and rich in situations. But at it’s core, it’s a personal and somehow intimate journey of discovering the new things that come your way. And of finding your place in the world. From the very beginning, I knew the only way to tell this story was to keep it as real as possible. Shooting on real locations, with real people. Working with natural light, with little to no light setups. We knew we had to be careful with the budget, but the stripped down approach gave us the freedom to focus on the situations — and those subtle, authentic moments happening in front of the camera. We worked with non-actors — for most of them, it was their very first time in front of the camera. And in return, we got natural performances and a genuine, unscripted energy. It was an amazing experience — but more than anything, it was just a lot of fun. I honestly can’t remember the last time I laughed for a whole week straight. Client: ST. •Začnite s vysťahovaním! / Start the Eviction!• This one is special in so many ways. I knew this had to feel like a film and be as authentic as possible. We shot in places close to where the real fights of the Slovak National Uprising took place. More than a storyboard, we had a list of scenes we were going for. And came up with some right on the set. And I’m not sure, if I ever experienced everyone on the team so deeply involved in the production of the film. With @reset.production we put together a small, agile crew – ready to move fast and do whatever was needed, no matter the callsheet role. Also everyone at @freeandyagency gave this project blood, sweat, and tears. Watch the frames! Much of this wouldn’t have been possible without DOP @majozilo His knowledge of local terrain and extensive on set experience made him an MVP across almost every department – even makeup. Master. @rafaelskurka handled all the camera equipment by himself like the pro he is. We got in touch with a local WWII history club Ostrô - a group of enthusiasts, who keep the memory of the Uprising alive. With their help, we had access to the authentic props, uniforms, car and even the bunker. @lukasherc as the main partisan. Immensely talented actor, perfectly embodying the character and the era. @lukas.puchovsky_official dived in the role of the empathic father from the moment he met the main actress Juli. Helping her in front of the camera and delivering his role totally on point. Juli 🖤 Jumped in the project in the very last moment. A demanding two days shoot, in harsh environment. And she killed it. And I’m not saying this just because she’s my daughter. A huge thank you to my wife @diankaroth For being the support for Juli and for me, for the whole two days. With @marekkralovsky we shaped the emotional rhythm, and @luciakovalova transformed the material into a movie. @bajko_studio made the pictures feel alive through sound. @janakirschner_official - thank you for allowing us to use your song “Idú”. So subtle and so strong. It blends with the film so beautifuly! And thank you @vallovalinda @postbellumsk 🖤 taken in Liptovská Osada by @majozilo

•The Fight for Freedom Never Ends.•
There are a few moments in a nation’s history that define its identity. Moments when we stood up for ourselves and our values. Moments that form the heritage a nation is built upon. One of the most important in Slovak history is the Slovak National Uprising of 1944. I was lucky to hear about it from my own grandfather, who took part in the Uprising, even though he was only a young boy. Unfortunatelly, younger generations may no longer have the chance to learn these stories first-hand (no wonder — it’s been 81 years). Post Bellum collects, archives, and shares first-hand stories from victims and participants of the key moments in our history. Now, they’re launching a book about the Slovak National Uprising, written for the youngest generation. Stories based on the lives and acts of partisans and participants, told in a way kids can truly understand. https://donio.sk/zbunkradobunkra 2025 Client: @postbellumsk Agency: @freeandyagency @instagracik @tom_i_slobo @suroandson @evolabka @ivana_sr_ Book Illustrations: @ivana_satekova Production Company: @reset.production Producer: @repka_martin PMs: @janka__re @ari.ingeli DOP (+ Locations, accomodation, hospitality & fun manager.
