POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

sometimes it takes two years for an idea to fall from your head into your hands ~ the photos in this book were taken while visiting my mother in alaska in 2023 ~ we took turns capturing our adventures with a little @ilfordphoto analog film camera from @eastern_standard_photo (who also developed the images)

after printing them I made a linen covered front and back panel and stitched everything together ~ now I’m happy to share these photos of photos of places we visited

this book is an imperfect experiment but it was very sweet to make and I’m excited for upcoming book collaborations ✨

A little poster for the @tomayko.foundation’s upcoming exhibition. I Believe I Know explores everyday experiences of transcendental awareness, exposing the synchronicity of the divine and human.

This group exhibition brings together artists @sobia.ahmad.art, @maggie.bjorklund, @centaschumacher, and @poor_little_ghost_boy.

I made a box!
Well—technically, it’s a pedestal, built to hold and uplift the beautiful work of @sobia.ahmad.art. Photos in reverse chronological order.

Sobia envisioned her piece, To Become Dust that Sings its Melody to the Night, being viewed from above, so we collaborated on a design direction that would center that experience. From there, I created the specs and fabricated the piece—with big thanks to @chrisllausch for the extra hands in the shop and to @pittsburghurbantree for letting me use the shop.

It’s a simple structure, but I’m happy to have shaped with care. On view now as part of Fellowship 25 at @silvereyecenter.

Thank you for your trust @sobia.ahmad.art ✨

~ some things that are available on my little online shop (this is all new to me) ~

this is a tiny book of 40 unedited journal entries/little words I collected when painting the 13 paintings in misrememberings (a solo show of sorts held at @pittsburghurbantree two years ago). these writings explore memory, dissociative amnesia, disorientation, and managing madness. it’s odd to read this years later and I feel a bit detached from the person who wrote them... but I think they were an important part to my healing process. but anyway... if you would like to read them or talk about mental health I am here to listen and discuss! sending love and care 🌱
