Tomorrow, I will be graduating from THE Texas Southern University Social Work Advanced Standing Program 🎓

Countless restless, tear-filled nights

I was called “too much” for moving with purpose, and misunderstood as thinking I was better than others simply because I held myself to high standards. In truth, my only competition has always been who I used to be.

To my cohort—whether you supported me, misunderstood me, or underestimated me—thank you. Every experience sharpened my focus and strengthened my voice. I learned who I am, what I stand for, and what I will never shrink to fit.

To the few who genuinely saw me—thank you for standing beside me and keeping it real when it mattered most. Forever grateful for my social work brother and sisters, 4L.

Delayed never means denied. 🤍

Relocating and starting over after two different colleges wasn’t easy, but every move led me exactly where I was supposed to be. I found my home at Texas Southern University.

Life tested me in ways most people will never understand, but God gave me a second chance and I made it count.

Leaving my home state and rebuilding from the ground up took faith, discipline, and resilience. There were setbacks, pressure, and moments of doubt, but I never stayed down.

Isaiah 40:31 ✨ He renewed my strength every step of the way.

From ending freshman year with a 1.7 GPA to graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA, growth speaks for itself.

Thank you God for all the redirection, lessons, and blessings.

Thank you Texas Southern for building me into the woman I am destined to be.
