Between “action” and “cut,” there’s another story.

I wasn’t chasing polished behind-the-scenes moments or perfect publicity stills. I was chasing the atmosphere, the silence before a take, the tension in the room, the faces between scenes, and the fragments that quietly become part of a film’s soul.

A few frames I managed to steal from the world of Pemikat Jiwa.

Now the story is yours to experience. Pemikat Jiwa is now playing in cinemas, grab your ticket, turn off your phone, and let the film do the haunting.

This aggressive session wouldn’t have been possible without the durable Canon EOS R3. Low light felt effortless, and paired with the RF 10-20mm f/4L IS STM & RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM giving me the advantage of insane focus tracking, it never missed a beat no matter how chaotic the scene got.

Thank you @canon.indonesia @canonimagingindonesia for the support. taken in Indonesia by @makaraproduction

Jakarta-based production house Makara Production (@makaraproduction) collaborated with director Dom Dharmo (@domdharmo) and cinematographer Yunus Pasolang, ICS (@lumisu_pasolang) to create a dark horror feature film about a forbidden love spell which awakens something far darker. “Pemikat Jiwa” (pemikat.jiwa_) was recently released in Indonesian theaters.

Beyond his extensive work in domestic cinema, Yunus Pasolang is internationally recognized for “Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts” (2017), the fourth Indonesian film selected for the Cannes Film Festival, which he shot on ZEISS Super Speed Mk III lenses.

For “Pemikat Jiwa,” Yunus chose ZEISS Supreme Prime Radiance lenses alongside the Supreme Zoom Radiance series to shape the film’s visual language. He highlighted his strong impression of the zoom lenses, noting their exceptional performance and how closely they matched the image quality of prime lenses.

Discover the behind-the-scenes story of “Pemikat Jiwa”, from Indonesia’s unique filming locations to the creative insights shared by the director, cinematographer, and producer Rama Tribudiman (@ramatribudiman) , captured through the distinctive look of ZEISS Supreme Radiance lenses.

“Pemikat Jiwa,” directed by @domdharmo Dharmo with cinematography by @lumisu_pasolang ICS & produced by @ramatribudiman , features a signature visual treatment an orbital camera movement rotating counterclockwise through numerous scenes, creating a distinctive visual rhythm that enhances the film’s emotional storytelling.

This production was proudly supported by @zeisscinematography , utilizing ZEISS Supreme Prime Radiance and Zoom Radiance lenses paired with the @arri Mini LF and stabilized on the @dji_ronin 2. This combination delivered exceptional optical performance, beautiful contrast, and smooth, controlled camera movement throughout the film.

We are grateful for ZEISS’s support in helping bring this unique visual language to life.

Catch @pemikat.jiwa_ now in cinemas across Indonesia.
