Happy Monday! Here’s a full list of the after care instructions for your new tattoo. I know it’s not always easy to remember all of this just by hearing it, so here ya go! ❤️‍🔥

*** 1 hour after your appointment you can remove the plastic wrap WITH CLEAN HANDS & gently wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water. I always recommend gold liquid dial. Dab the tattoo dry with a non-abrasive towel and allow to air dry for a few hours before applying a thin layer of aquaphor. There’s no need to rewrap your tattoo. Allow your skin to breathe as much as possible.

***throughout days 1-3 you may notice your tattoo starting to ooze, be a little red & warm to the touch. Remember that your tattoo is an open wound so try not to touch it except when cleaning it. WE don’t need any extra germs/bacteria on there! Continue to wash it 2-3 times a day & continue applying a THIN layer of aquaphor. I always recommend once or twice a day.

*** on days 3-7 your tattoo will feel super dry and itchy. It’ll start to flake and peel. Don’t scratch or peel your tattoo. Continue to wash & moisturize. Always keep in mind not to over moisturize. Your skin needs time to breathe in order to heal properly.

*** on days 7-14 you can switch from aquaphor ointment to lubriderm unscented lotion to moisturize your tattoo. Your tattoo may look shiny through this phase which is normal. Once this phase is over, your tattoo is fully healed. It may still be super itchy but don’t scratch to avoid scarring.

****DON’T DO/USE THESE WHILE HEALING****
>pools,bathtubs,oceans,super hot showers. Never keep your tattoo fully submerged in water.
>scented soaps, lotions, perfumes, colognes, hair/skin products, Vaseline/petroleum
>tanning beds, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, self tanner
