📍 P A N A M A
•PART 2•

— One nice thing about Panama is they use American Dollars and it’s a 1:1 exchange!
While they do have their own currency called Balboa they also accept American dollars as they use those as well!
Their coins are same sizes as our coins just different images minted onto them.
They have their own ..
$1 coin
.50 cent coin
.25 cent coin
.10 cent coin
5 cent coin
And .01 cent coin.
As for paper currency they use American Dollars 💵

*** when I was paying for something one of my American dimes had 2 little dents in it and the lady asked me if I had another one… I was like no but that one is perfectly fine it’s just dented a little.. apparently some places there don’t like to accept dinged up or money with any rips in it due to fear of it not being accepted at the bank or automated machines? 🤔🧐
So if you go, I guess go with your crispiest dollars and finest coins to avoid your money being denied🪙
Idk how often this occurs but apparently it’s a thing there. taken in Panama City, Panama by @makdusa

✈️Part 1❤️

If you’re ever thinking about visiting Panama
YOU SHOULD!

•Knowing Spanish is not completely necessary as there are people there that speak English but not everywhere you go will you be guaranteed to run across an English Speaker so you’ll get a LOT further with it than without it or just make sure your phone stays charged so if you have WiFi or international phone service I guess you can use an online translator. I assume they’re pretty accurate as I saw a house keeper use their phone’s translator to understand what a hotel guest was saying.
