I’m jumping on this trend because it perfectly complements our latest Makedo project! 😉

The challenge was to create an artwork using @makedo tools and cardboard and decided to make this colourful bird, inspired by the fun, bold style of @petecromer ☺️

We used Makedo tools, Scru-Dots and a few Deco-Props to bring it all together, and I love how much personality it has! 💛

SPIDERS IN DISGUISE 🕷️I spotted this black foam fruit tray at the supermarket the other day and immediately saw… Yeah! You guessed right: spiders! I mean the shape, the color… it was so obvious!

To bring them to life, we just cut them out, attached them to a cardboard web with a Scru, added a black Scru Dot and finished them off with googly eyes 👀. It was so simple and the perfect excuse to try our @makedo tools beyond cardboard.

I love finding unexpected possibilities in everyday materials. Sometimes creativity is simply looking at something ordinary and asking: what else could this be?

One cardboard ball run was never going to be enough!

We gave our @makedo ball run box a little upgrade by turning the empty space on the back into a coin run, using cardboard offcuts from previous projects and our Makedo Tools and Scrus. A bit of testing, a change of plan halfway through and plenty of coins later… and we have a new favourite DIY toy!

I love that Makedo allows us to be creative together and turn recycled cardboard into something fun. It’s the perfect example of recycle and play, encouraging problem-solving, fine motor skills and learning through play, while giving leftover materials a second life.

Sustainable toys, open-ended play and hours of fun without needing to buy something new. That’s always a win in my opinion 😉

Apparently kindy mascots are a thing?! 😂🐬

Mr 5 brought his little dolphin mascot home for the week and decided it needed somewhere to live. Because obviously. 😂

So we went diving into the recycling bin, grabbed the Makedo and got to work on some fin-tastic new digs. 🏠🐬

No instructions. No template. Just recycled cardboard boxes, some Makedo and a 5-year-old with a very important construction project.

And honestly… I think the dolphin is pretty happy with their new home. 🌊

This is what I love about open-ended building — give kids some basic materials and let their imagination take the wheel. The possibilities are endless! 💙
