Testing the tech! This was hours before the concert, so I was rushing around! Charging batteries, sewing the lining inside out for fun, losing my mind about said lining, redoing it an hour before show, and then heading to the venue!

I'm editing my long video together on this on how I made it, but I'm so glad everything worked out, and who better to stress test the @nlitentech than Mr. Infant Insufficient Currency himself @bbnomula

Posted @withregram • @sprite_lights Hey everyone! Did you know that Sprite Lights are only 1mm thick? It's been a wild ride of trial and error, trying to get these lights as close to the skin as possible without feeling bulky.

The biggest hurdles? The artwork and battery. The artwork started as layered silicone, and I was stuck using traditional batteries. The key to reducing the thickness was switching the artwork to these gorgeous stickers from @MakeStickers and moving to the crazy thin 0.7mm batteries from @Zinergy_UK ✨

The RISE UP Calgary Outdoor Stage at Olympic Plaza saw an incredibly diverse collection of performances brought to us by BIG Winter Classic, Asian Heritage Foundation, Arts Commons, and One Big JAM! The Trailer Stage on Stephen Ave also saw DJ MollyFi and Hunter and The Kill, presented by the Calgary Downtown Association! 🙌

City hall was lit up with ImaginAsian: Asian Night Market, presented by Asian Heritage Foundation, with an incredible Lunar New Year Performance! 🐉

There’s still so much to check out this weekend!

TONIGHT you don’t want to miss the Four Winds Showcase at Olympic Plaza! Indigenous hip-hop artist Toosick will be performing his new collection of music that combines new-age R&B stylings with traditional Indigenous elements. There will also be an incredible Powwow showcase with a live drum performance. (4–6 PM) 🎤

Calgary Animated Objects Society (CAOS) will deliver family-friendly short films using puppets and animation! (6–7 PM) 🎭

Arts Commons presents will be back with Anthony Russell, CHISH, Priscille Bukasa, and Cowtown! (7–8 PM) 🎺

Olympic Plaza will close the night with DJ duo, The Cruz Brothers – DJ Fatrok and DJ C–SIK! (8–10 PM) 🎧

Light-up roving performers from Little Red Ball Company will also be there!

Over at Stephen Ave, check out Luminescent TALL Tales by Three Left Feet (6–8 PM) and SargeantXComrade at the Trailer Stage (7–9 PM)

At City Hall, ImaginAsian: Asian Night Market presented by the Asian Heritage Foundation will be on from noon–8:30 PM
