Posting just hasn’t felt right. I’ve wanted to post about this for some time, but I just couldn’t find the right words and wasn’t ready. The last time we posted was on my birthday and there’s a reason for that.

In the early morning hours of my birthday, we had to say goodbye to a very important and irreplaceable member of the family…. Our best buddy, Gus.

He was the family dog. He was born on the day my childhood family dog passed away, and we all took that as a sign that Gus was meant to be in our lives. We got Gus right when Clayton and I first started dating. He was the family dog that was there for me as I navigated college, held first jobs, fell in love, grew into early adulthood, discovered myself, and married the man of my dreams. Gus was there through it all and now he’s gone. But Clayton and I were lucky enough to be there for all of his life. That is a true gift.

The first picture is one of the very first photos I have of him. That was the first day we brought him home. The very last photos are the final ones we ever took.

He was always happy whenever we’d walk through the door. He’d snuggle as close as possible to us as we’d attempt our workout routines and he’d always sit by our feet while at our work desks. He just always wanted to be near people.

We said our goodbyes to him only a couple days before leaving for our Disney Wish sailing. The main statue on this ship is actually a scene featuring Cinderella with Lucifer lurking behind trying to capture her two mice friends hiding beneath her dress, Jaq…. And Gus! Our Gus was actually named after Gus from Cinderella! Even though our Gus was now gone, it felt like, in a way, he was still there with us. And he’ll forever remain with us.

We love and miss you Gus Gus! You’re our forever best buddy! ❤️ by @makeitmagicalpod

Aulani, here we come!!!! 🏝️☀️

We’ve been hinting that we’re prepping for a trip, so let me two finger point you to the reveal! This Monday we are headed off and crossing this Disney destination off our bucket list!!!! 🥹

I honestly never thought the day would come where I’d get the chance to visit. I’ll continue pinching myself in disbelief (even as I pack) because I won’t believe this is all real until I’m there checking in at that gorgeous lobby.

We’ll post a little in stories while there, but otherwise, I’ll be removed from socials for the week! I just want to soak in every moment of Aulani. 😌 I really don’t have much else to say because I don’t think any words can capture exactly how I’m feeling. Just excited and grateful beyond explanation.

Expect several Aulani themed episodes in these coming weeks!!!! 🌺

It’s time for some RIDE HISTORY! 🤓

We’re ready to deep dive into all the Winnie the Pooh attractions worldwide! For this week’s episode, we’re kicking it off with all the fun facts you could ever want to know about The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh dark ride! 🍯🐝🧸

Although, all is not what it seems. Did you know there were efforts to bring Pooh into the Disney Parks way before his debut attraction in Magic Kingdom?!? That’s right! Expect lots of fun facts, Easter eggs, and plenty of drama surrounding Pooh’s park takeover. Who knew our beloved silly old bear was the culprit behind such interesting Disney Parks history? Well, we do and now you will after checking out our episode (shameless plug)! 😂

Also, not sure what kind of crazy pills we were taking when we recorded, but ummm… let’s just say this episode contains a bit more than a small smackerel of chaos. 🤪

I was especially excited the moment I saw this year’s Halloween display in the Grand Californian lobby. Disney truly outdoes themselves each year with these massive centerpieces!

Even from an early age, I’ve always resonated deeply with the character of Sally. The moment I met Clayton, I knew he was the Jack to my Sally. It was very plain for me to see that from the very beginning we were “simply meant to be.” 🖤🖤

From Halloween present to Halloween past, we even dressed up as Jack and Sally for our first Disney Halloween party together! This was wayyyyy before Oogie Boogie Bash was a thing, when our dearly departed Fastpass was alive and well, and at a time when Disneyland was the spot for Halloween parties. These early photos were from a time in my life I’ll always hold dearly.

I’d say “take me back” to that new and exciting time in our relationship, but that would mean wiping away all the memories we’ve made since and the strength we’ve formed in our relationship over the years. I’ll still reminisce over Halloweens past, but I’ll happily stay where I am. 🧡🧡

Did you ever attend a Disneyland Halloween party when they were around? Anyone else remember the Ghost Galaxy Space Mountain overlay? What Halloween memories do you fondly look back? 🎃

Happy Halloweek, friends!🎃

Probably safe to say it’s become a bit of a fall tradition getting photos taken here. I can’t help it! After all, I’m just a girl with a fondness for Disney, cats, and seasonal decorations.

Regardless of how many photos you may already have, are there any spots you make a required pitstop for new pics with each park visit?

P.S. Yes, you read that right. My shirt does in fact say “Happy Meowloween” and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😅🐈‍⬛

✨NEW EPISODE ALERT✨

This week we’re finishing off our Walt Disney - A Magical Life series with a final discussion on all our honest opinions regarding this first ever Walt animatronic show!

Where’s the best place to sit for that prime viewing experience? Is there room for improvement? What are some important features in this show that you might easily miss if they weren’t pointed out to you? What are the standout moments that make this attraction really shine?

We’re answering all of this and more in our latest episode! Listen in on your favorite podcast platform or watch us over on YouTube! Links in bio.🎙️

We hope you’ve enjoyed this deep dive series and through our discussions have gained a deeper appreciation for all the detailed work that went into creating this new attraction!

If you haven’t had a chance to go see this yet, we couldn’t recommend enough having the full experience of viewing this in person for yourself. We can’t wait for the next Walt animatronic to find a home in Magic Kingdom and only hope to see more projects that are just as thoughtful and meaningful make their way into the Disney parks in the future.

Without saying too much else in case you plan on listening to our episode, we feel this is the missing piece that Walt’s park has always needed. 💕
