It's never too late to #shoplocal and #shopLA.

This year’s holiday campaign is in partnership with @mastercard to help bring attention to black businesses in #LosAngeles

Hot + Cool Cafe [@hotandcoolcafe] is a family operated vegan cafe in #LeimertPark. Owners Tony Jolly and Tina Amin intentionally chose Leimert Park to open this Los Angeles County certified social enterprise to make sure their neighbors have access to healthy food, regardless of circumstance.

We are grateful for all of the small business owners, makers, artists and manufacturers in LA. Their heart and hustle make our lives better everyday. Thank you for making #LAOriginal.

These masks from @shopirroirro are 🔥. Founded by Marie Miao, “Irro” is a Japanese term, and Irro Irro together means "variety". Made from two layers of 100% linen and 100% cotton double lining, these masks are handmade-to-order in Marie's Los Angeles home studio. The inner layer forms a slit to insert a filter of your choice. Best of all, Miao has been able to use proceeds to donate over 200 masks to healthcare workers, essential workers, and those unable to afford masks! Designed in collaboration with Angelenos ranging from elementary-school kids to veteran artists, the book showcases the diversity of LA's open spaces and how urban wildlife and humans can share these spaces and flourish. A percentage of profits from the book will be donated to the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust (@neighborhoodlandtrust), whose mission is to contribute to the equity and well-being of our neighborhoods through the development of parks, gardens, and community-driven organizing. We love a face mask that gives back. @Poketo has partnered with MEALS Clothing on a line of masks in exclusive colors and designs. 25% of the proceeds of each mask sale will go to @coreresponse (Community Organized Relief Effort), which partners with community organizations and the City of LA to provide free COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites. Hey LA! It's TEACHER APRECIATION WEEK! We are giving a shout out to Los Angeles-based public school teacher AND artist, Olivia Sanchez, who founded the greeting card company @plume_and_pulp in 2017 to express herself creatively while also being a dedicated special needs teacher. Sanchez’s "extracurricular" work beautifully incorporates watercolor with calligraphy and simple illustrations. And it’s all 100% handmade by her.
