Love wins🌹after 15 years and 3 children @cuautli.makemba got down on one knee 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
It was one of those really magical days.
I got my new baby travelling guitar, Rodrigo drove to Mexico City to bring it back for me.
Later we visited one of our favourite sacred sites as a family, a place we last visited 10 years ago when skyla was 4 years old. A powerful portal in Amatlán, the birthplace of Ce Ácatl Topiltzin Quetzalcóatl. Where The god Camaxtli (or Mixcóatl) took the goddess Chimalma (or Xochiquetzal) as his wife. She became pregnant after he placed a fallen feather in her hair and drank from a sacred spring. We gave thanks for the gift of returning to this place now with two children more. Later We drank pulque before going to a super fancy restaurant 🤣 the blood lunar eclipse and mountain of tepotzlan held us tight. We looked up at the sky and are certain we saw a UFO!!! This place is famous for sightings.
He then asked me to go look at the rooms at the back so we could see what they looked like for a possible future stay… I knew it was time.
I felt nervous. A fire was lit for us, the stars and sky shining on us. Next to a sweet Lilly pond, just the 2 of us he spoke beautiful words and honoured our journey, my womb, our children, our love. He got down on one knee, I was nervous, same as him, I laughed nervously and when he asked, I thought in my mind.. I already said yes 15 years ago hehehe😆😍😆 he gave me a beautiful ring in a jewelry box with all the different colours of corn. Symbolic of so much within Mexico, the culture, the history, the resilience within in Mexico and within our relationship. We have united and merged the bloodlines.
As I said yes, raindrops slowly fell onto us, Tepotzlan has been waiting for rain for a long time. It has been drought. Magical. We have so much gratitude and love in our hearts and this shitty selfie too :) The Gods cry with happiness and even the aliens celebrate with us👽🏴‍☠️❤️viva el amor🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🦁🦉🐆🐆🦜

Thank you to each and every person who supported our shop @makembaboutique at @medicinefestival. As I sit In Mexico after a long travel with my family ( 24 hour travel with 3 kids!) I reflect on the beauty of the festival, the land, the people, the children, the families, friends, musicians, story tellers, artists, the animals, the medicine keepers, the volunteers, the ancestors, the elements, the organisers and the fellow vendors. The coming together of so many beautiful people from so many different places to share in joy and celebration of this beautiful life.
A huge thank you to all the organisers of the event, what a big task with many challenges and all the unseen work you do. But we feel it all, the beauty, the love and the attention and the growth and I thank you.
It is an honour to share @makembaboutique with you all and get to travel the world doing what we love. Thank you to my amazing team who travelled from South Africa @josh_snyman and @jo_d_tlali and to my beautiful daughter @skyla_quetzalli, we rocked it x by @makembaboutique

Our beautiful daughter, twin sister of Mayukai, adorned in Makemba jewels.( moonstone tiara with Namibian quartz and snake ribs and labradorite brass wing choker style necklace)
she is a true force💃🏽a wise soul with a very big kind heart.
Just a few days ago we were driving through the Transkei in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Earlier on we had bought her one chocolate egg for the road trip, after seeing all the cute Xhosa children running next our car as we approached the village,she decided to give her only sweet to them🌹

We’re so excited that NEW DAWN is finally out — the full song and video

What a journey it has been, from the moment it was created until now. This project has been born from deep love, intention, and prayer.

Thank you to all of you — everyone who has been in ceremony with us, who has heard this song in its raw form, who has been moved by it , shed a tear with us , a sigh of relief …. It means so much that it now lives and can be listened to whenever you feel called.

If you’re going to listen, we really invite you to take a moment — put on headphones, lie down, close your eyes, and allow yourself to be taken on a journey. And if you can, we highly recommend watching the video as well. It touches on love, life, and the vast cosmic universe we are all part of.

This is also a piece that asks for a little patience — we truly encourage you to stay with it and journey into the second half.
