man…the one word for this trip is wow. i have seriously never connected with so many amazing individuals in 4 days as much i did with this group of 113 individuals. I didn’t even get to meet all of you, but you guys are all special in your own way. whether it’s bus rides with mike, remington’s inspiration, darlinda’s humor, zack’s (bubbles) happiness, casen’s friendliness, donald’s humbleness, cole’s ability to make me laugh, sophia’s smile, drew’s joyfulness, brock’s ability to see everyone for who they are, josie’s ability to love, preston’s funniness, bella’s kind-heartedness, JW’s respectfulness, wyatt’s ability to be welcoming, hayden’s ability to be fun, ella’s wittiness, kyler’s amazing stories, jace’s passion, evan and van’s dynamic duo, and finally all of our own ability to be the best version of ourselves. seriously, from the bottom of my heart, ALL 113 of you, your future is the brightest thing in this world and i love every single one of you. H-Y-M-A-X. these are five letters i never thought id hear about again after i applied. i didn’t have major hope I was getting in, but I wanted to take this opportunity while i had it. it was a day we didn’t have school, and I got a text that i was accepted. As soon as my advisor heard the results, I had to look at every social media to see everyone else going. turns out I knew two people. I was so nervous coming up to friday going down there, but once I got there I knew I would be accepted with the energy there. everyone was so excited, and nobody was shy. I fit right in, and we started with line dancing. Throughout this weekend, I met my best friends, connected with my small group, learned so much about advocacy, and what I’m bringing home to my chapter is what’s most important. I’m bringing home confidence to be an effective leader, line dances to share with my chapter, “power claps” to add some fun to our program, and most importantly i’m bringing home my own version of the advantage I took of being accepted into HYMAX. I did not let this opportunity go, and I will never forget the lessons I learned over one short weekend. Thank you HYMAX for teaching me lessons, bringing me some of my best friends, and most of all the opportunity not many kids get to have. taken in Camp Rising Sun by @makenna.wrightt

my word for this year is wow. wow meaning i’ve made so many memories this year than my whole lifetime x2. i would like to thank god for these blessings and thank my mom and advisors for getting me where im at. getting installed as your 25-26 secretary is a dream come true and im so beyond excited!

i never thought i would be saying goodbye so quick. coming into my first year in ffa, i was so beyond excited to be there and share my laugh with you. you kept pushing me even when i struggled. hearing your goodbye speech tonight, i realized you haven’t just made an impact on me and the macon kids, but kids outside of macon as well. i would never trade spending this year with you girl, you’re truly the best and i thank you outside of this world for this year.
to my momma:
thank you for always believing in me, and telling me to do anything under the sun to make an impact on agriculture. this year was a blast having you by my side, and i’ll always love you for being there since day 1 (literally) with me while i create this new version of myself. love you momma and never forget that!
