my latest finished make for a very special one year old!

I wanted to make a Molly Weasley vibes jumper, so used the Cloud Sweater Junior as my base as it gave that rustic and relaxed vibe with rolled hem finishes. The yarn I used also had a tweedy finish so that added to the look!

For the letter, I duplicate stitched once I’d finished. This is the first time I’ve done this, and it was actually a lot easier than I expected! I used Stitch Fiddle to draft out the block of the letter, and then mirrored this onto the jumper. I’d definitely like to try doing this again, as I think it really worked well!

Another good stashbusting project completed 🫡

as the weather’s turning I’m FINALLY able to wear my eurus sweater by @aegyoknit !! I finished this one just as it started getting warm in the spring, so I actually haven’t worn it since I cast it off!

I am so in love with all of the horizontal cables and the lovely tweedy cream yarn that I used! This was a stash busting project for me, so I was really happy to get a finished project that I love without having to buy loads of yarn.

The only change I might make is to shorten the sleeves slightly! They’ve turned out a bit too long for me, so just want to adjust slightly so that I can wear it without turning the cuffs up!

Maggie Cardigan

This one has been on my needles for quite a long time, but it was so worth the wait! Like everyone else I fell in love with the simplicity of the Maggie Cardigan and wanted one for myself.

What I wasn’t expecting was how much I would enjoy all the small details of this pattern - the shoulder and back construction with such delicate shoulder seams, really adding to the elegance of this knit. I made one amendment to the pattern, which was to add a double knit button band. I used with one strand of cashmere and one of alpaca, and I couldn’t not be happier with the finished fabric - extremely soft and drapes beautifully!

The Celine Blouse

My newest sew that I finished just before I left for holiday! I’ve been eyeing up this pattern for a long time, and just needed an excuse to make it. I had a sheet that I’d picked up from the charity shop, and I thought that it would work so well with the floaty-ness of this pattern!

I cannot recommend this pattern enough, all the little details are explained so beautifully and create such a simple and elegant garment with really clean finishes. I went for the recommended size for my measurements, 38, and it fits really well!

There will certainly be more of these in my future!

a little peter rabbit for the newest member of our family who was recently born over in the US 🤍

This make used a pattern I really love from @vanessamooncie , which has some really clever design features and created the most animated little crochet animals! Would highly recommend having a go! I used a cotton for this make, so that it is durable and safe for little ones!
