There are days in this job that test you in ways no one talks about.

The early mornings, the weddings worked through illness, through grief, through sleepless nights. The personal milestones quietly rearranged around my brides’ timelines.

I show up because I genuinely believe in what I do. A wedding is not just another job to me. I know how special that day is, how much it matters to feel completely yourself, completely beautiful, on the one day that belongs entirely to you.

That’s a responsibility I take seriously. Every single time.

The plan was:
Bubble gum blush
Cool tone Pink lips
Lashes
Matt eyes

But on the day I went absolutely different direction:
Warm pink blush
Peach lips
No lashes
Sparkly eyes

It’s a perfect opportunity to: 1. meet your artist and see that you comfortable with her/him as a human, you will spend the most important morning of your life with them and you want to feel comfortable! 2. Try makeup and hair that you think you want and see that it’s actually looks and feels good. 3. Check how it stays in heat! I was sure I want my hair down but after I wore my hair down for my hens party and it was extremely uncomfortable! As “I’m With You” began to play, Kevin stood waiting for Janelle to walk down the aisle. In that moment, it felt like every emotion he had been holding back simply came pouring out.

It was one of the most unforgettable moments I had the privilege of witnessing and documenting on their wedding day.

Kevin and Janelle first called me almost a year ago, just to get to know each other and see if I would be the right photographer for them.

They wanted less posing, more candid moments, and most importantly, enough time to truly be present with their friends.

This celebration at Cape Fahn Koh Samui was created especially for their guests, with only 25 of their closest friends flying in from around the world to celebrate with them. They will be having another wedding with their family, making this day a meaningful gathering dedicated entirely to the people they love and the friendships they share.

Planned by @wondersweddings , the celebration felt intimate, personal, and completely true to Kevin and Janelle.

And somehow, that small gathering made everything feel even bigger.

More real. More intimate. More emotional.

Your skin is the one thing your wedding makeup can’t replace. 🤍

Start your routine at least 3 months before the big day: gentle cleanse, SPF every morning, and a mask when you need it (yes, even while getting your hair done 😅).

Save this for your wedding checklist and send it to a bride who needs the reminder.

My fav mask before makeup is Biodance collagen one. Make sure to wear it at least for 3 hours to see results ✨

“Can we use less color?” She was right, and also not.

When Janelle came in for her trial, she had a clear vision: minimal makeup, warm brown tones. She loved it, but still asked if we could use less blush and less color on her lips for the big day.

Here’s the thing I’ve learned after years of bridal makeup: it’s rarely about the amount. It’s about the color.

I asked Janelle if I could try soft pinks instead of browns. She said yes and trusted the process.

Makeup trial for my wedding, part 1. Trying pink tones this time, warm peachy coming next.

I am NOT doing my own makeup on the wedding day. I have my talented team artist doing it for me, and thank god for this decision! Yes, I can do makeup on myself, but first, I can’t see everything as precisely as another artist will see it, so I’ll never get into the details the way they would. I can’t see myself the way an artist sees me. I’ll get stressed doing it 💯 and most of all, it’s just such a beautiful part of the whole wedding experience. When else in your life do you get to be pampered like this?

But it’s great to see how the colors look, and I wanted to try two different styles to find what suits me best. A trial isn’t really about checking how good your MUA is, it’s mostly about seeing how you feel in a particular look, how you look, and how your skin reacts. For example, I decided I don’t need any extra glow, since my skin gets oily and shiny fast.
