“Too busy watering my own grass to notice if anyone else’s is greener.”

Motherhood has a way of making you feel like you should be watching what everyone else is doing — who’s bouncing back faster, whose baby sleeps better, whose house is cleaner, whose routine looks more put together. But the truth is, none of that grows *your* garden.

These days, I’m choosing to pour my energy into what actually matters: my home, my babies, my wellbeing, my peace. I’m too busy nurturing the parts of me that motherhood stretched, too focused on becoming a calmer, healthier, happier and best version of myself to compare my journey with anyone else’s.

And by watering it with patience, rest, self-love, and little pockets of joy, I’m creating a life that feels full from the inside out. That’s the kind of “green” that matters.

The best thing we ever did 🙏🏼

We left our small home town in New Zealand when we were 21/22 - over 10 years ago now and moved to London for 2 years to experience life on the other side of the world and it was the best thing we ever did.

Fast forward 2 years we then moved to Melbourne where we lived for 8 years before deciding to move to the Gold Coast where we wanted to bring up a family.

All 3 places we have lived have truely made us grow as people and we have met some of our best friends by living in different countries.

We love our little life that we’re now creating for our family and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I’m so proud of us for leaving the comfort bubble of our hometown because these memories are priceless ❤️

Postpartum taught me something I never expected — you don’t “get back to who you were,” you grow into someone you never imagined you could be - a new version of yourself.

For a while I kept searching for the old me, wondering if she’d show up again once the exhaustion faded or once my body felt familiar. But somewhere between the late-night feeds, the messy buns, the quiet little victories, and the moments where I doubted everything… I realised she wasn’t coming back. And honestly? I’m glad she didn’t.

Because the woman I’m becoming now is stronger, softer, more grounded. More present.

She sets boundaries, chooses peace, and simpler days & celebrates the smallest wins like they’re milestones.

I didn’t lose myself. I evolved. And the version of me I’ve found ——the one shaped by motherhood, resilience, growth, and a whole lot of surrender

she’s the best one yet. ❤️
