Beautiful April🤍

April booked me just for fun on New years Eve last year and we hit it off! So when she messaged me asking if I was available for her wedding this year, I was thrilled!🩷

April doesn’t wear much makeup on a day to day. She didn’t want anything too dark or dramatic. So even though we did do more full coverage on the skin, everything else was light and minimal for her wedding day.

This is what we did:

• For skin we went for a full coverage and completely matte base as April has a true oily skin type and was worried about getting shiny too quickly on her wedding day. She also naturally has a lot of redness she wanted covered and really wanted to be sure we matched to her spray tan. I used @maccosmetics studio fix mattifine primer + @esteelauder double wear foundation(also her current go to) and set with a few different powders- @lauramercier translucent honey powder, @hourglasscosmetics veil translucent powder for the under eye and @maccosmetics studio fix powders.

• For bronzer and blush, we kept it light and minimal since April isn’t accustomed to wearing them much. Just enough was added to bring some dimension and color back to her skin since she had a more full coverage base.

•We skipped the highlight/any glow to avoid adding to her natural shine and avoid emphasizing any skin texture concerns.

•Aprils brows are already micro shaded so I lightly filled them in at the end using a brow pencil.

• For eyes, we also kept it minimal and went for a soft matte eye. She already had classic lash extensions but we decided to add some lash clusters on top to add a little bit more length + fullness. I used @tatti_lashes au natural clusters.

•Lastly for lips: a simple favorite combo @maccosmetics “Whirl” lip liner + “Thanks it’s Mac” lipstick

Nicole’s gorgeous look for her Napa Valley garden wedding at @brindarenapavalley ! 🤍

The look that lasted with minimal touching up after happy tears and 100° weather! 🔥

One thing I always recommend: having your makeup artist + hair stylist stay through cocktail hour for touchups, especially on a hot day or after lots of crying. It’s a worthwhile add-on that makes a huge difference in how fresh you look into the evening and for all of your photos. Hannah and I did exactly that and Nicole walked into her reception looking flawless. ✨

Maddi 🤍✨

She married her high school sweetheart at @blackoakmountainvineyards yesterday. I drove up the night before so we could be there early for her, her family, and her friends.
