A Respectful Message from Iranians Around the World

Dear President Donald J. Trump,

On behalf of many Iranians around the world, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your attention to the Iranian people and their aspirations for freedom, peace, and human dignity.

For nearly five decades, many Iranians believe that policies of accommodation and engagement toward the Islamic Republic and its supporters have failed to end repression, executions, and widespread human rights abuses. From their perspective, these approaches have not brought lasting peace or meaningful change.

We respectfully ask you to continue pursuing decisive and effective policies, consistent with international law and with the protection of civilians as a priority, to help bring an end to the cycle of violence, executions, and oppression in Iran.

The people of Iran deserve the opportunity to live in freedom, security, and dignity. We remain hopeful for a peaceful future in which justice, human rights, and democracy can prevail.
