PLEASE remember these things for your wedding day look 👇🏼‼️

1️⃣ Do not skip exfoliation.
But yes, do it a day in advance, and only with an exfoliator your skin is already used to.

2️⃣ No new skincare products a week before your big day.
Any experiments you want to try should be done at least 3 months in advance. Stick to what works for your skin and skip what doesn’t.

3️⃣ Do not wax your face, tummy, or back especially if you’re not already used to it. You’ll most likely experience a flare-up, breakouts or irritation.

4️⃣ Don’t show me a makeup inspo picture from a bride who’s wearing a completely different color or outfit style.
Example: Don’t bring a church wedding hairdo as inspo for your Indian bridal look with head dupatta. Let’s keep the look cohesive with your vibe and outfit!

5️⃣ Don’t ask your bridesmaids to accompany you to your makeup appointment.
The more you chat, the harder it is and unnecessary discussions don’t help with time or the final look.

6️⃣ Don’t say “I want to look like I have no makeup on.”
That no-makeup makeup look isn’t made for longevity and doesn’t photograph well under wedding lights.

Here’s why I NEVER colour correct eyelids, even on my deepest skin tone brides✨

I’ve worked with brides who have deep skin tones and heavily pigmented eyelids, but I still don’t typically reach for a colour corrector.

For one, it adds an extra layer of product, which can increase the risk of creasing. Plus, eyeshadow pigments will be applied over the eyelids anyway, so if the pigmentation can be covered without correction, there’s no need to add another layer.

The only situation where I might consider colour correcting is when a client has extremely dark eyelids and wants a very light, barely-there matte eye look where their natural pigmentation may show through.

That said, I’ve often been able to skip this step, especially with the concealers I use.

A little note: @anastasiabeverlyhills_india Luminous Foundation was originally my third recommendation. I’ve loved using shades 220N and 335W, but since the foundation is being discontinued, I wouldn’t recommend investing in it for a new kit unless you can still find it easily.
