Super proud and grateful to announce that our project XX has been awarded project development funding by the @nederlandsfilmfonds ✨🥹

XX is the feature debut of @ninanoelraaijmakers and tells the story of screamqueen Roxy who, after a freak accident on a B-filmset, completely loses all sense of bodily integrity and autonomy…

This support allows us to dive further into the world of Roxy, and start visualizing its look and feel. Big congrats to the entire team, especially @sarieke and @rozemarijn1982, who have been instrumental in helping shape the story so far! ❤️

The timing is impeccable, as we are currently packing our bags ✈️💼 to head off to Canada next week, to pitch XX at the Frontieres Co-producers Market at @fantasiafestival.

We are hyped, ready and keen to meet the right people to jump on this rollercoaster ride with us, and help bring Roxy’s world to the big screen... 💕🎥

AULKEN joins Frontières at Cannes!

t’s happening 🔥 Our new folk horror feature film AULKEN, co-written and directed by @didier_konings_art , has been selected for the Frontières Proof of Concept presentation at @marchedufilm 🎬

Out of many submissions, AULKEN is one of 7 genre projects selected to pitch to the international genre industry during Frontières at Cannes.

This marks the very first time we’ll introduce the project to the wider international market as we begin searching for potential partners for the next stage of the film. We’re very excited to see how industry professionals will respond to this new folk horror story inspired by the Dutch myth of shapeshifting creatures. 😊

AULKEN is co-written by @houstonsharp and has already received support from the @nederlandsfilmfonds

We’ll also be around the Marché du Film from May 14 - 19, so if you’re attending Cannes and would like to meet, let’s connect 👀

More info about the Frontières Proof of Concept selection here: https://www.marchedufilm.com/programs/frontieres/proof-of-concept/

🔥 BEHIND THE SCENES ‘WITTE WIEVEN’🔥

As WITTE WIEVEN continues its international journey – soon releasing on @shudder from May on via its international title Heresy, we also have something else in store for you, via the link in our bio… 👀

Through this behind-the-scenes film, you get a unique insight into how all the medieval madness came together. 🎥🧟🥹

Consider it also a tribute to the incredible team behind it: catch glimpses of all the blood, sweat and tears, the craft, the dedication, and the collective energy that made the project come to life. ❤️

This film was developed within the ‘Koolhoven Presenteert’ trajectory, initiated by @martinkoolhoven , a program that supported genre film makers with their first mid-length film. Directed by @didier_konings_art , and made in collaboration with @vprocinema , @nederlandsfilmfonds and the @npofonds , this project sits at the heart of what we do at Make Way Film.

Thank you once more cast & crew! 🙏🏼😊

It’s a Wrap ✨🎬🥰 (actually that was 4 weeks ago already…)

Super exciting news!!! We have managed to finalise the shooting of “The Malthus Law”, a short film by writer/director @shanicekamminga 🎞️

Twelve Angry Men meets Black Mirror. In a future battling resource scarcity, a government AI randomly drafts citizens to justify why they deserve to stay alive. When privileged TV presenter Olivia is drafted, she tries to rally the fellow draftees in the waiting room to uncover the AI’s hidden logic - but her prejudice soon sparks conflict that threatens everyone’s survival. 🫣

The process of post-production will start soon! Big thanks to the cast and crew for their efforts, participation and, overall, a wonderful experience! Additional thank you to @fondszoz, @afk020 and Harro Presser (r.i.p.) for the financial contributions, without which this would not be possible! ⭐️💕⭐️

The Pit is a darkly comic thriller about the doubts, fears and forbidden thoughts surrounding motherhood... of course with a fantastical twist.

The project was previously supported by the Netherlands Film Fund through Cypher Cinema, and has now also received production funding from Filmfonds Shorts.

We can’t wait to bring this exciting film to life.

🎭 Let the party begin...! 🍻
We’ve officially received script development funding from the Netherlands Film Fund for our upcoming feature film 11/11 — the very first Brabant Carnival slasher! 🎉

Written by @marlynvanerp and @nathaliepagie, this bloody fun project is directed by the amazing Simone van Dusseldorp (@vandusseldorp) — ready to bring chaos, color and carnage to the big screen. 💃🔪

Make way for something ‘keigaaf’ (very cool in Brabants) and terrifyingly fun… 🎭🩸
