Clearly a teacher’s son. This melts my heart every time. 📚 #booklover #teachersson

Gotta love when you’ve finished planning next week IN ADVANCE just to get sick, miss 2 days, and have to erase and start again! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Right about now I wish I tried sticky note planning! Has anyone given it a try before? Would be a life saver in these situations!

TEACHER HACK for my surprise snow day! ❄️

After years of begging my husband to help me hole punch index cards to make sight word rings he finally helped and it is genius! I keep the index cards in their plastic wrapping and he drills a hole through the whole pack. Then I unwrap the pack and use as needed!
(Be careful with those power tools 🤪)

Hello! Happy 2022! In this new year I want to focus on the word balance.

I am an all in person! Before I was a mom I was all in with teaching. It was my world! Then when I had my son he became my world which I LOVE. So now, in 2022, I want to balance my two worlds and share all my learning adventures and FIRST memories!

I started this account because of my love for learning and now I have a love for learning as a teacher and mom!

I can’t wait to continue to learn and share it with all of you!

A BIG thank you to @kidlitismagic for this amazing book!

It is such a great book for showing kids that books can bring up certain feelings (or laughs in this case!)

I can also see it being a favorite for my son who is arriving soon! 💙 by @makingfirstiememories

Every year we celebrate our classmates by having a new “Star of the Week.” This year our “Star of the Week” looks a little different. Since students cannot bring in items to school to share, a student gets this poster on Friday, completes it and brings it in on Monday. Then, our “Star of the Week” shares the poster and everyday that week the same student tells us something new about them. I know students loved bringing in toys and items to share but this has encouraged us to get to know each other so much more!

Halloween was so fun this year because it was also how I told my class I was expecting! They had to infer why I was the “Old Lady Who Swallowed a Baby!”
