Parenthood can make us so focused on creating a good life for our children that we forget to actually live it with them.

Let yourself be silly. Get on the floor and play. Dance when there’s music. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Make the ordinary moments feel a little more magical.

Your kids don’t just need to see you taking care of them—they need to see you enjoying life, too.

Tend to your inner child. Give yourself permission to play. 🤍

Because maybe one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the example that growing up doesn’t mean growing out of joy.

Today I received a text from my husband telling me that he is now a candidate for a lead position, a promotion he’s been trying so hard to get. Working hard, every day, grinding (literally) to advance. I should know, I’ve seen him in action. One of my fav things about our relationship is that we met as coworkers, because we got to see each other in our elements. I had the privilege of working alongside him. We were a team before we were a team, which is why I know how much he deserves this promotion. I am beyond proud of him and so excited for his next chapter. Not only is he a great asset to the job, but he never hesitates to show up for his family when he’s home. He’s such a good sport in a house full of girls who either want to put makeup on him, paint his nails (which he wears proudly to work!), or dress him up in Halloween costumes and Christmas onesies🥰

Self-reflection isn’t always comfortable—but it’s necessary.

Sometimes we’re so focused on what we’re trying to accomplish that we never stop to ask ourselves why we want it in the first place.

The Seven Whys exercise gives me a chance to slow down, look beneath the surface, and get honest about what actually matters to me.

Because the deeper I went, the less my answers were about things… and the more they became about the kind of life I want to create, the person I want to become, and the impact I want to leave behind.

Growth isn’t just about moving forward.

Sometimes, it starts with looking inward. 🤍

Sometimes the most important thing you can do for your marriage is simply make time for each other. 🤍

It doesn’t have to be an expensive date or elaborate plan. Put the phones away. Talk about something other than the kids, bills, chores, and everything waiting for you at home.

Remember who you are beyond being parents and managing everyday life.

Because your spouse deserves more than the leftover pieces of your time.

Make space for each other. Make space for your marriage.

Sometimes reconnecting is as simple as stepping away from the noise and remembering: it’s still us. 🤍
