Allow me to (re)introduce you to the Envoy. The Envoy was the first Makino guitar I designed and built from the ground up. Several generations of revisions have refined the breed but the traits of the wild ancestor are still on display - set neck, 24.875" scale, laminate body construction.

I took inspiration from the classic maple over mahogany guitar from the 1950s with adjustments for comfort, playability, and style. With a deeply carved top, half-floating pickguard, and crisp, contrasting binding, there's no mistaking the Envoy for anything other than the flagship model. by @makinoguitars

The Messenger started as a "what-if" idea and quickly became my personal favorite. What if I used the same offset body shape as the Envoy but made from a single piece of 1.625" lumber? What if I styled the body with a 22° bevel instead of a carved top? What if I used a 24.5" scale?

The answer is a light weight, mid-focused instrument that nestles closely against the body when seated and reflects light across the room when standing on the stage. by @makinoguitars

Behold! The WARCHILD. Inspired by 1970s and 1980s designs, the WARCHILD is a guitar for the bold.

See this one on stage with @warlung as Phil debuts this custom stunner at the SXSW stoner jam.

- All mahogany construction (7.5lbs)
- Wenge board with mini trap inlays
- @emersoncustom pots because there's Emerson and then there's everything else.
- Vintage cream and ebony lacquer from @oxfordsupply for high contrast style
- Double cream DiMarzios because it's 1976
