We’re here and READY for @oregoncityopenstudios!

Cathy Rowe and I are set up from 10–4, and māk will be open for making until 6 PM — ornaments to paint, candles to pour, and drawings for special gifts from both māk and Cathy Rowe Art.

Come check out Cathy’s gorgeous paint-by-number kits and get a sneak peek at her holiday advent calendar!

Learn the basics of weaving using beautiful Flax & Twine hand‑loom kits (yours to take home). Jill will guide you through foundational techniques as you create a small wall hanging or coaster during this 3‑hour class. You’ll get all the supplies you need to finish your project and a peek into more advanced looms and weaving styles so you can keep exploring at home. You’ll walk away with your project, your loom and yarn to keep going.

I get asked all the time: “Why Oregon City?”

Because this town is turning into a full-on creative heartbeat. We’ve got the @oregoncityopenstudios Tour coming up Oct 3–4, @goodvibegallery about to open off Main, and a whole lineup of local artists featured right inside māk.

And yes, I made a kinusaiga of the Oregon City Elevator because apparently I’m now the person who makes sentimental art tributes to the place she loves. You can make one of your favorite spot too. Check out our workshop lineup!

Oregon City has given us so much in seven months-support, inspiration, and a community that shows up.

Come visit. Wander Main Street. Head up the elevator and see what’s happening up the hill. Eat at @thehivesocial, @watershed_cafe_oc, or @ginza.sushi.oc. Pop in and meet the winemaker at @corcillacellars over a glass or two. Pop into the shops. Meet the makers. Feel the vibe.

Two studios, one shared love of bringing people together to create 💕

One of the best parts of owning a small business is finding others who understand the work, cheer each other on, and want to do things together. So thankful to have found that connection with māk!

Next month, Craft Collective and māk are teaming up for a chunky blanket workshop at their Oregon City studio. We love that we can each have our own businesses and still find ways to support one another and bring our communities together.
