Last November, I asked Alex to send me some vocals on this new track that I had produced.

For some context, a few years ago we started a dark-wave electro project we’re the idea was to form a duo and perform live. He was able to send me something but I told him let’s meet up in person and record them properly in a studio.

Little did I know that these few vocals that he sent me, were going to be the last recordings that I will have from him.

Alex passed away this February and I took it upon myself to attempt to finish our song and to honor him in this life and the next. I rearranged the track to suit his vocals and well, the result will speak for itself.

This was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, but it helped in a way to grieve with his passing.

I uploaded it onto my soundcloud and I hope you will like this song as much as I do, because I feel his voice resonate throughout my core.

You will be missed my friend,

I love you, forever 🤍

And we’re back ✊🏼

@wrongnotes_ is starting the year with a strong industrial EP from @wick_cryptic where I did a EBMish remix on it.

Hope you like it ! 🖤

Yours,
M

GENAU PODCAST #132 - @makornik || 27/12/24

We're glad to host for our podcast "x-mas & new year's" special a n exclusive two hours recoding from Canadian dj & producer Makornik. Heavy, pounding and straight techno to train yourself with a view on 2025!

Full stream checking our Biography!!

With the rise of the industrial techno movement in 2017 France, @makornik locked himself in as one of the underground techno artists that curated it and is still in the scene today. His recent move to Berlin has led to a slight evolution in his musical style into a faster and more groovy type of techno, while, of course, maintaining his signature industrial rhythms. Covering a wide range of styles, Makornik will send you on an intense yet aggressive journey that you will be sure to remember.

Back to our RAWTALES series dedicated to special mixes this time with our dear @makornik delivering a cocktail of sounds that were composed during his set recorded live on four decks in late April.

Starting with industrial cinematic techno, followed by pounding grooves, that transitions into rough and unforgiving hard techno topped off with some acid hard house.
