@sophiaeris has been a fixture in the Minneapolis music scene for nearly two decades, DJing across the city, hosting Go 96.3’s morning show, touring with @lizzobeeating, and collaborating with Prince. And in the middle of all of it, she was always writing her own music. Not for a label or an audience, but for the love of the craft.⁠

For Issue 03, we sat down with Eris to talk about her forthcoming album LILITH, made with local producer @makrrrr in their duo @makraneris_. Named for the folkloric figure who refused to be dominated and was banished for it, the album is equal parts personal reckoning and creative declaration, exploring what it looks like to dismantle the structures that hold you back and reclaim your own power. ⁠
