The Bargain by @authoraurorareed

this started SO strong and then slowly lost me 😭
Elias Lennox was carrying this book on his coin-operated shoulders, Desdemona was driving me insane, and the chemistry??? HELLO???

I loved the character dynamics, Elias's voice, and the tension between them, but the pacing and plot structure eventually started to drag. By the last stretch, I was skimming, which is never a good sign 💔

still had some really good moments, though.

ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I'M ON THE ARC TEAM FOR THE BARGAIN BY @authoraurorareed !!! 💗😭

I'm so excited to be reading Desdemona and Elias's story early! Thank you so much to Aurora for having me on the ARC team. 🤍

ARC arriving TOMORROW. I am absolutely not emotionally prepared.

The Bargain releases September 5th! And you can expect me being insufferable about it. by @malaha.reads

if we were sitting across from each other, sharing a bowl of ramen, these are the books i'd quietly slide across the table and insist you borrow. 🍜📚

i think you can tell a lot about a person by the stories they love, the songs they have on repeat, and the flowers they stop to smell 🌺🌼

one minute reviews #1: Black Knight✨

hot take: Xander Knight is probably the least problematic MMC in the Royal Elite series. and i'm not even joking.

yes, he starts as a bully. yes, he's cruel. but he actually GROWS. he gets rehab. he communicates (after a while anyway, dont come for me). in a Rina Kent book??? ground-breaking.
