a little doodle I did while watching (finally!) Best of the Best, featuring Maya and Anjali’s really cute athleisure sporty looks for the parking garage dance tryout scene - one of my top faves🪷 & some freehand mandala design to complete it ✨ this movie truly made me feel seen, going beyond what is normally shown from the diaspora in films & highlighting a not-so-usually-shown side of the desi American college experience in pop culture (or elements of it) that so many of us have lived.

I also find that the sisterhood and friendship in this movie being at the forefront was beautiful to see- this was such a real time look at how friendships can change at different stages of life and how they can evolve, where each person grows as a person alongside the other- which inspired me to draw this while I watched
