Everyone doesn’t always remember what you tell them or even what you “show” them, they remember how you make them FEEL 💖 The goal is to continue to build, continue to strengthen and continue to unite. Together, we go so much further. We are all different. We all have different strengths. That is what makes everything so much more special. Connection happens in the community. To the women that continue to believe in me and my mission, THANK YOU. Together, we move forward sisters! One step at a time! Keep thriving, keep shining and know I will always be here to support. To the women who I have yet to connect with, one day, we will, and I will be glad to listen to your ideas, your passion and your story. To the women who are not interested in connecting, that’s okay too. When you learn that imperfection is everywhere, you realize you won’t ever be everyone’s cup of tea, but know that I am rooting for you too! 🫶🏽 Mahalo @mauinownews for sharing! Mahalo to everyone that attended! You don’t realize that it makes THAT much more of a difference 🫶🏽 #womencommunity #community #pov #explore #mauievents by @malama.yo.mama
WHO IS MĀLAMA YO MAMA?! - - So many new sisters on here, I’d like to say HEYYY GIRL HEYYY! 🫶🏽 Thank you for being here! I’m Leslie, owner & founder of this community organization that focuses on supporting, uplifting and growing the women community. Whether you’re a business owner, a mama, a woman in Hawai’i, all of the above or just 1, YOU ARE RIGHT WHERE YOU BELONG. Starting this Instagram was the first step to highlight women and all of their strengths and gifts. Officially becoming a business was the next step in uniting women through workshops, events and more! 5 years in the making & we continue to grow together! Each event and idea from Mālama Yo Mama is curated with intention, purpose, meaning and truth. Community is not a hype word, women empowerment is not a fad, and true support and inspiration takes all of us & we are all ever evolving! That is the point! STICK around, come try new things, overcome some fears, learn, grow and connect with one another. It was never about me… it’s about US! The women who led us here, the women who we are today and the women who will come after us 🙌🏽 ✨Drop a 🫶🏽 in the comments if you read all of this and are excited for more 2026 announcements! ✨ 📸 @capturedbykammy Dress @prettypleasehawaii #womeninspiringwomen #womenempowerment #womencommunity #femalebusinessowner #mauibusinessowners by @malama.yo.mama
IS MĀLAMA YO MAMA YOUR FULL-TIME “JOB?” - - I giggle a little when I get asked this question. 1. I WISH IT WAS (One day it could be 🤭) and 2. I’m so honored to have yall think I’m the most consistent here This picture totally depicts my life most times. Laughing, looking ahead, and just making sure I hold onto that dream of centering women in our community, uplifting us, and supporting us (no matter how chaotic and busy life can get). Because.. GREAT WOMEN SUPPORT GREAT WOMEN WHO SUPPORT GREAT WOMEN 🫶🏽 Dress @prettypleasehawaii Pua @puakinethings Sandalwood necklace @kalikolehuanani 📸 @amethystjayphotos #womenempowerment #malama #womenofinstagram #supportwomen #explore by @malama.yo.mama
New month, same mission—— 💖 It’s not about what’s trending, or how much publicity you can get, it’s not about quantity and what’s aesthetic It’s about truth. It’s about connections It’s NOT even about the million and 1 words that we use to describe the women community or the community organizations BECAUSE… Genuinity speakers for itself Integrity is evident of history Collaboration is ongoing Intention can’t be mocked New month, (soon to be new year) and MORE impact 🫶🏽 For them, for us, for who they’re meant to be #womensupportwomen #community #interisland #collaboration #intentional by @malama.yo.mama
