I got hired as an actual waiter at MáLà Project @malaproject, one of New York City’s best Chinese restaurants, in order to see what Chinese customers would think about a white waiter who actually spoke fluent Mandarin. Customers were totally shocked! And yes, I did know the entire menu in Chinese! by @malaproject

Today’s dish:

𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒚 𝑷𝒐𝒑𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒏 香辣鸡柳

Crispy chicken with a fiery, numbing kick, tossed with fried basil, served with sweet and sour bean sauce for a sweet finish.

Available at all locations. Crispy fried Chinese dish served with fresh basil leaves and a small bowl of orange dipping sauce on a white doily-lined serving dish. taken in Málà Project by @malaproject

This is what a good lunch or dinner (or both) in NYC looks like 😮‍💨

𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒅𝒓𝒚𝒑𝒐𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕…

🥣 pick your sauce — soy ginger if you’re little soft, spicy if you came to eat!
🥩 pick your protein + veg, however you want it
🔥 numbing, tingly, slightly life changing

Come thru, we’ll be here!

Today’s dish is a classic star! 👀🌟

𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑬𝒈𝒈 烧椒皮蛋

Our plate serves fried Cubanelle peppers, eggplant, and century duck egg. Smoky, silky, umami-rich, with a custardy bite inspired by its Hunan and Sichuan roots!

P.S: This can be modified gluten-free! Just ask our staff! 💌 by @malaproject
