Puppetry is one of the oldest traditional art forms of Tamil culture, where wooden puppets are controlled with strings and used to narrate stories. According to mythology, Lord Brahma is believed to have brought the first puppet to life for Goddess Saraswati’s entertainment. This art form continues to be preserved by artists in places like Kumbakonam and Mayiladuthurai in Tamil Nadu.

"Filmatic Puppetry" is the first attempt to present this ancient art form in a modern cinematic style.

From Kolu trials to the final stage!
A few trial shows and practice sessions at the Kolu helped us prepare for the final performance.
Heartfelt thanks to my lovely friend Rekha ,#navaratri vandhan family for providing the space, for gathering kids and parents as a wonderful audience, and for all the support and encouragement.

Please DM for trial bookings to perform at your premises for the Kolu festival on 19th & 20th Oct.

Sometimes being silent heals many things you didn't know were hurting.
Your overthinking. Your need for closure. Your habit of giving too much.
Silence puts you back together in a way no one else can. So if you are quiet these days, it's not because you have nothing to say. It's because you are finally healing

Can't resist this 80s trend! 😎📼 But my ChatGPT failed to transform my pics because it said, "You're already giving major 80s vibes—I only need to change the background!" 😂🎞️🚗#80s #vintage #retros by @malathyrajan
