tyler got the idea to start gardening after we both became heavily addicted to stardew valley (shoutout @concernedapegames) + a community garden opportunity practically fell into our lap 🪴🎮

he would spend hours and hours researching, mixing different pH waters, setting schedules, taking trips to local nurseries & sticking to it religiously for a good three months.

i got to help plant everything, keep the routine & there was lots and lots of weeding done 🪏🌱 it was a TON of work and dedication but i couldn’t be happier with the results! genuinely one of the best summers i’ve ever had and i have such a deep, newfound appreciation for life and self-sustainability.

and with that being said…
any recommendations for a gal with a plethora of tomatoes, thai peppers, jalepenos, bell peppers, black/pinto beans, corn + potatoes?! 😂🤯 taken in Oregon by @malayjohnston

🪏🪴🍄👾 stardew valley, but in real life 👾🍄🪴🪏

one of the most unexpected highlights of moving has been connecting with our new neighbors, thus resulting in us joining the community garden nearby 🧑🏻‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾

finally got around to editing this one. we planted a variety of flowers from @alsgardenandhome 🌸 and we are planning on adding a small walking path, veggies, fruits & more! give us a follow to see more of our gardening journey 🌱🤗

i love this city, this community & these people ❤️‍🔥

portland is so much more than what the media makes of it— its vibrant community & diversity make it so weird and so wonderful. i am proud to walk alongside those pushing for change, standing up for democracy and saying no to this administration.
