‘CRASH’ is out now on vinyl 👾 @thekidandimusic have torn up the rulebook with their ep

the band set out to push their sound to its absolute limit, finding out what it’s like to be a loud, live, chaotic punk band locked inside a studio

but the ambition didn’t stop at the sonics 👀

it runs through the iconography, the colour palette, the loose narratives woven between tracks, and even how they dress on stage

which track are you putting on first? tell us below 👇 by @malekdanielbass

Yeah I do yoga…👀

It was a busy couple of months playing all across the UK on some beautiful lush and good vibes independent festivals. Now a bit of well deserved slow burning till 2027 couple of cover shows and studio sessions.

Lots of love

behind the noise 👾 @thekidandimusic on the making of their ep ‘CRASH’ and the story behind it

written largely by frontman @jacobrcpowell in the wake of a break-up and a move back home, ‘CRASH’ was born in a dark place

at the time jacob was convinced it would be his last release before disappearing from public life altogether

instead it’s become a turning point

the band talk about how the ep reframed what they’re capable of: seriously loud, in-your-face moments sitting alongside bare, vulnerable songs that aren’t afraid to let the guard down

a new blueprint for where THE KID AND I can go next? 👀

the scratch rock signees turned up with their most honest and unflinching work to date, a record that hits hard and cuts deep in equal measure

‘CRASH’ and the band’s full catalogue are available exclusively through @elasticstage 💜 by @malekdanielbass
