Back to School… 🥹🙏🏼🖍️ Sorting craft supplies yesterday and came across what once was a treasured container of crayons. If these crayons could talk!🤣 Hope your transition to Fall is healthy and happy!💗

*This song has always had a special place in my heart ever since my kids were born. It’s a keeper.*

Ol’ Green Mountain Golf Course Area ~ A field and a sunset can truly be moving. I don’t know what it is. I’m immediately brought into reflection. Maybe it’s the gentleness of the landscape. It’s quiet with birds flitting and softly singing. Usually a little caressing breeze lifts the fields up and they sway like a choral round before clashing together. I think of the past. The future. Then the moment. Exhale. Something about a field and a sunset.

Colors of Fall! Chartreuse as the stunning backdrop to hues of blue, purple and pink. Beautiful together! About to go to sleep until early Summer. Grateful for these comforting blossoms that have greeted me all season. See you soon! Until then, rest well! 🤍

~ The end of August. As the sun begins to set in the brilliance and glow of late summer, I can’t help but feel a small piece of me set too. Maybe it’s the anticipation of a new season that has me feeling unsettled. Sunsets have a way of stopping you in your tracks. Each sunset is like the first for me. They never get old. I stand in awe with the golden light on my face. ~ taken in Astoria, Oregon by @malenasmenu

August 11th! Sunriver, OR!! Yes! I got to see the Aurora Borealis AGAIN!! We had spent the evening at the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory like we always do when we visit! This particular night was a nice break from the wild fire smoke that would drift in and out during our trip. There was a little but not enough to obstruct the sky and stars.

When my daughter said, “Look the sky is pink and red what’s happening? Is the sun still setting?” I knew exactly what was going on. With the lights dancing on the horizon, the Big Dipper dressed in color, the majesty and glory of the Milky Way all lit in auroras, Perseid meteors zooming through the sky, it was a night to remember!!!

I headed for the marina area because the road had the perfect view of the northern horizon and boom! There they were in all their glory!! I couldn’t believe my eyes back in May during the solar storm and I couldn’t believe my eyes again. The beauty, mystery, and awe were just as strong seeing them again. Last time I was alone on a crazy mountain top in Washougal, WA at midnight this time I was with my family and I don’t know which was more special, seeing the Auroras again or the look on their faces! Priceless! 💕

Summer nights in Camas, WA! I typically love to stroll downtown in the Fall when the colors are so vibrant and leaves gently drift from the sky and grace the path in front of me. Lately though, Summer has captured my heart!☀️

First it was “Oh, my God!” Then it was me laughing like a child on Christmas Day! Mouth hanging open in shock. Then it was grateful tears with so much to be thankful for but couldn’t express it. I said, “I love you, Mum!” to heaven. Then it was “Oh, My God!” again…😆 Rolling emotions right with the sky!
I hope you too experienced the Aurora Borealis last night!
Try again tonight if you get the chance. 🩷
